This was the first time I used spray spar urethane, so I was skeptical about its application and finish. First, it is straightforward to apply. Second, I found that for best results, apply 4 coats, lightly sanding the 3rd. This really created awesome finish. Overallam really pleased with the coverage and end result. While using any finish rather it be water-based, oil-based, spray, or brush, the key is patience.

So far so good. Applied to a fiberglass door that is beaten up by the sun in the mornings. I used 2 cans and applied several (probably 10) light coats. So much better than when I used a paintbrush last time. The door looks great (lightly sanded cloudy finish with 320 first). But I don't know how this will hold up in the sun. Too bad I can't be reminded by Home Depot to update in a year.

Of the 6 cans I received, only one sprayed the varnish correctly. This was after shaking each can vigorously before use. The product did not spray out. It spits out in bubbles in clumps causing me extra work to sand the surface to remove the product. The oil-based product works much better although the drying time is so much longer.

I have purchased this before but this latest batch of 6 cans has an issue where the spray is coming out more clumpy than a fine mist. I have tried multiple cans from the 6 pack and the same issue occurs. The cans were kept inside my house before use and well-shaken. Very disappointed.

All cans in the pack of 6 I purchased were defective. I shook them for a very long time and when I went to use them, they came out like spray foam silly string. It ruined the project and I had to sand down multiple times. This occurred with multiple cans. I assumed maybe one was bad so I tried all 6 and all 6 were the same. Very disappointed.

did not like the fact it when on white and did not dry perfectly clear and now im stuck with 6 cans

Same as others, I found it to spray in globs not properly atomized. And after 24 hrs drying time had like a waxy finish that would scrape off. Very disappointed with it.

This product was half the price buying in bulk than where I normally purchase. Delivery was took longer than expected but I was informed during the whole process which makes that better.

Goods on much better than oil based and dries real fast!

It is a excellent product the look and finish is perfect ! No yellowing and it brought out the oak wood grain beautifully on my outside bench !!! It handles direct sunlight and all types of weather !

An excellent product. We need this product to protect new screen-in porch furniture purchased at an antique mall. The product went in perfect and dried much quicker than I thought. Excellent finish. A great product.

easy application, don't know yet how durable

Considering that bad reviews go back 5, 6, 7 years ago it's interesting that I'm having the same problems today. Shake the can, keep at room temperature and same OLD problems. Globs come out (and my finger is not impeding the spray) and spray is inconsistent. Keep the same speed and distance back and forth and still it pools and creates runs in places. Can't Rust-Oleum change the spray head to the larger head which seems to provide a more consistent spray. Or maybe it's just the formula itself. Either way I'm probably going to have to strip my front door all the way down and start over. What a waste of time this product. Its amazing that you can do all the correct prep work and the final coat to protect your project ruins the job. Will be returning 4 cans of this, including the partial can, for a refund in the morning. Too bad can't give it a zero rating.

Nice stuff, but spray nozzle is mediocre. It does only a fair job of atomizing, resulting in some larger splatters.

Buy the 6 pack to save money if you use often. Excellent for outdoor furniture.

This product is amazing - it will ruin your art project in seconds! Whether you're working with an oil or water based medium, the paint will run when sprayed with a light coat of this finish. It's really remarkable that it can destroy hours of painstaking work in mere seconds. I'm so glad I now have six cans of this awesome product on hand.

Very good , work excellent

I order the 6 pack often. The last few orders, at least 1 if not 2 of the 6 cans does not spray correctly. I end up not being able to use the practically brand new cans. Great product, just not as dependable for my liking.

Does a nice job but the nozzle can spit product now and then leaving a bubble like spot on a decent surface
