Fit over posts with no problems. I am going to just leave them on with a snug slip fit to see how they fare in the next hurricane without securing them to the posts with either glue or screws.

This the third email asking for my review, I deleted the first two and now have a moment. The caps are fine and worked great. The problem is they are not from home D! They send out the orders to third parties. Some company in TN sent them to me. The caps originally arrived with the wrong style. I called home D and rather than "sorry I will send the correct ones out and overnight them to you" the problem was handled by first returning the order and then putting in a new order for the same thing in hopes it might be filled and shipped correctly the second time. They finally arrived in two boxes and are fine, but I will not waste my time with homedepot.com again, far better luck and service on ebay or amaxzon.

Did not fit my post (Purchased in 2011 and the size was 4.75" x 4.75"). If I had the new post that measures 5" x 5", it would have fit perfectly.

I ordered the wrong size.

They are bigger than 5 inches I had to return the product

Just replace the old cap and instant upgrade!

This post cap fits the post very well and sure makes the overall fence installation look good.

The fit and finish was as expected perfect . The parts all fitted together correctly

Ordered over 30 post caps to finish my fence project. Came quickly in one box with each individual cap wrapped in plastic. The fit was great and the finish was nice with no scuffs or blemishes.

About a half inch bigger than the originals that I was replacing. Overall a sloppy fit.

These fence post caps are very good looking. We have had a lot of comments on how nice the fence is.

This product was much better than I expected. It has better construction than the other original gothic post tops on my fence.

as advertised; received promptly; met my expectations - and I don't appreciate being forced to keep adding verbage to meet your arbitrary standard.for the length of my review. Why would someone equate a lot of words to a better or more meaningful review.
