I used this to make an out feed table for my Ridgid table saw. Using two door hinges bolted to the T track slots after bolting the hinges to the Melamine. My measurement were off (after measuring three times), so I have four extra holes. After routing slots this makes a great addition. PLUS with the blade down I have 4 1/2 foot by 5 1/2 foot worktable. After initial install I found that the saw fence was too long and stuck out on the operator's side, so I cut a 5" hole for the fence to protrude when the outfeed was lowered.

This is a very useful product for making large and odd size shelves. Only issue is some edge chips, even when cut with the panel saw at Home Depot store. I used a small bottle of white "Appliance Touch-Up Paint" to color in the chipped edges after applying the iron-on edging material from Depot. The white paint color matches almost perfectly and the end result looks good.

Love using this Melamine. Used it for two separate projects. 1. Used for the suffice for a sitting areas ( make sure you add more than recommend supports) 2. Use as a frame for my concrete countertop. When the melamine is removed after concrete has cured it gives that perfect smooth finish.

These melamine panels are OK, but they have some issues you need to be aware of. 1. the edges are in bad shape, don't expect to use them without cutting, as the melamine along the edges have a lot of chips and nicks in them. 2. when cut, the melamine tends to chip, and I couldn't find a way to get them to not chip. this was with a very high quality table saw, and a brand new blade. 3. they are ridiculously heavy. Difficult to move by yourself. 4. This can be a plus or a con. They are NOT exactly 48x96, more like 49x97. This is common in cabinet grade plywood, but it surprised me here. However, once you do get a decent finish, they are tough, and very nice looking. Add in the heat applied edge banding, and you can have a very nice look.

This product is strong and the plastic coat makes moving heavy items that I store on it much easier. I use these boards as 2' wide shelving to store tubs and gear in my garage. This latest board does not have the finished side, that these boards used to have. If it had finished sides, I would give it 5 stars. Without it, the melamine is still useable and does the function it was purchased for.

This melamine is great. Every sheet I pulled off the rack was near flawless. I think the only damage they had was from me loading them into my truck and dinging the corners a little bit. I used these to make some doors for a wall of garage cabinets that I built. The sheets are heavy, so it is best to have two people remove them from the racks at the store and load them into your vehicle. There are many different techniques to cut melamine, but I personally use two of them. I have a blade for my table saw that is made specifically for cutting melamine. It seems like a lot of extra to invest, but if you want quality cuts, it is hard to go wrong with a dedicated blade. The second, which is the most common, is the use painters tape (Typically the blue tape you find in the paint aisles) and put the tape over the sheet where your cut line will be. The tape will basically hold the pieces of the melamine top down and prevent them from chipping and flaking away. Using both of those combined, all of my cuts are laser straight, and razor sharp. I mean literally razor sharp, the edges of melamine can cut your hands if you are not careful. I recommend either putting edge banding on, or taking a sanding sponge and lighly knocking the edges down with something like 220 grit. It takes just a few seconds, but if you are building something that might be touched or grabbed or held onto, you don't want people to cut their hands, so it is worth the extra effort. Melamine is super easy to clean, and is fairly durable as well, so for the garage cabinets I built, they make fantastic doors.

Melamine is very thin and chips if using a circular saw. Had to cut larger then trim in the table say to get a clean edge.
