Great stuff for around the above ground pool! Love the mocha brown color.

This product is easy to spread and looks great. Also no need to remulch in 2 years, lasts 10. Color is dark and rich. Really like it and would recommend. When it goes on sale will buy more but still very affordable every day price.

For the price this stuff is gold. I needed to do something with the side section of my new construction home per HOA. Putting artificial grass or concrete seemed too expensive to me for an area that is little used and accessed. I did my measurements and found that I needed about 32 bags of this to cover my 193 sq ft area. I bought some landscaping fabric and then laid this rubber mulch down. I think the results are pretty good for the minimal effort. I was originally going to go with plain old wood chips but was worried about attracting insects (termites) since it is right up against my foundation. I was also worried about the smell but it ended up not bothering me. I think I will need to buy a bag or two every now and then but seems like this will be low maintenance for me. I personally would be reluctant to use this in a flower bed as I would be worried about the heat it may give off in SoCal summers.

Works better than traditional mulch, hold color longer

works great to use for a base filler in tall planters or urns before adding potting soil! It won't discolor water when draining either, so will not stain your deck or patio. Great product!

I'm not happy that I don't get 1 cu. ft.. .8 cu. ft. is a sly way to charge the same but deliver less (like 20%). Product covers as if it were wood chips, takes some time before rubber smell dissipates, and renewal over time still exists.

This mulch is not for everyone. I have been using it for 2 years now and my plants are happy, my yard looks fantastic and the smell does not linger more than a day or so. I generally buy 20 bags a season and am replacing all my chipped mulch with this once and for all. I'm not plagued with artillery dots anymore - that alone is worth the cost! This mulch keeps it's color, does not form a shell after a few months so rain can continue to get to the roots. Once I am finished with the beds I don't anticipate having to mulch again for a long while - except of course when moving plants or adding new beds!

I love this stuff. My yard looks so nice and manicured. The color is amazing and I love the fact that it will be a number of years before having to do this again!

This stuff is amazing. I pulled up my old weed barrier, installed new weed barrier and laid this over it. The difference is night and day. It covers well and with a 12 year guarantee I won't have to replace it every year like regular mulch. I took off 1 star because there is a slight rubber smell. It's not over powering and after a few showers I expect it to be reduced. A great value in my opinion.

I bought over 60 bags of the dark brown rubber mulch after landscaping was put down in 2012 in San Antonio, TX. I rented the property in 2013 for the next 4 years while I was stationed overseas. When I came back in 2017 to sell the property the rubber mulch was still there, although not all of it. The color never faded. I noticed when the mulch is on a slope (gentle slope) water would move the mulch and it would gather at the bottom of the bed when it rained. I would then have to reposition. I never had to blow anything out of it because there were no trees in my yard so I can't say whether it stays in place with a blower. Pros: - Keeps it's color - Has lasted so far for the last 7 years - Love the look - Easy to handle - The heat of San Antonio summers didn't seem to release any kind of rubber smell. I don't know how well it will do with extreme heat mixed with humidity (I will find out as I'm moving to the MS Gulf Coast). - Never saw any anthills in it (they were usually up against my rose bushes). Other insects were minimum - I had a good weed fabric barrier and then rubber mulch on top of it so the plants seemed to do well, no sign of toxicity that I know of. I did keep the mulch and barrier away from the plant by about 4 inches to make room for fertilizer going directly into the soil. Cons: - Moves if there is a lot of rain going downhill so you constantly have to reposition - Have to pick it out of grass - Smelled heavily of rubber coming out of the bag but once it was put down the smell went away - There is no way to build up the beds with more dirt unless you move all the rubber mulch out of the area - Expensive but you won't have to replenish it every year like regular mulch - You may have to add a few bags to certain areas as the years go by

This looks great compared to wood bark. It is more expensive, hopefully the color will last as advertised and the rain does not wash it away. We put down landscape fabric first then put down the rubber mulch. We've only had it down for a few days so will have to wait and see how it holds up against the elements.

I've ordered mulch in 900 lb bulk before that is just like this and, in this case, I ordered 250 bags (Large yard, lots of landscaping). I prefer the bags for the landscaping of the regular beds (have 2700 lbs of blue rubber mulch just like it in our play yard). The reason I prefer the bags for the landscaping is that it is much easier to just load it on my cart, cut open the top and apply it by pouring out as if painting the beds. It goes much faster than trying to unload a cubic yard or 900 lb bag. And it is a lot easier on the back this way. We've had the brown rubber mulch down for about a month now and it look like we just mulched yesterday. It also seems to prohibit weeds (not completely, but also not as crazy as it used to be with regular mulch). Plus, ordering 250 bags and paying for Home Depot to deliver it to my house for $79 sure makes it easy to get started and done in one afternoon.

This is what I use now. Regular mulch disappears. The only time I use the regular mulch is just around the base of plants. Termites are drawn to the regular mulch..but not the rubber..so it's safe around the foundation. I've been using it for 2 years now and love it!

It's a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. I used to re-mulch most of our planting beds annually and I'm talking at least a pallet load of wood mulch. I looked at rock but between the need for a layer of landscape fabric and the expense decided against it. Rubber mulch turned out to be a great alternative. No need for landscape fabric so installation is much simpler and, unlike wood, even no-float mulch, this stuff stays in place even in heavy SW Florida rainstorms. After four years it's still looking great, tons of compliments from neighbors, and I only have to top off with 4 or 5 bags a year which has saved me a ton of backbreaking labor.

Not generally a proponent of "fake" over real, i.e. artificial grass, this product is an exception. Aside from the fact that it keeps rubber out of landfills, the product performs exceptionally well...it has great mulch rich color that does not fade...does not have to be replaced every year, and my gardeners love it because it does not "blow-away" like mulch when they are blowing off fallen leaves. Perfect product for bedding areas, and an added benefit..dogs are not ATTRACTED to it. Initially when opening bag and spreading it, there is a rubber smell that dissipates after about a week. It is available in red and black colors, as well...but Mocha Brown is the ONE.

I wrestled with giving the mocha brown rubber mulch 5 stars! Only reason I didn't is the initial cost! It looks GREAT, my wife loves it. We'll see how long the "12 year" color guarantee holds out, but right now it makes our beds look professionally finished! Of course, so would regular brown natural mulch, only problem with regular mulch is it has a 12 "month" color guarantee. It would be great if the bags were at least 1 cu. ft. and not .8, but you're getting a mulch that is supposed to be much less reactive to the effects of sun and rain...the former we have a LOT of right now in Texas, the latter not so much! So if I don't have to replace my mulch yearly, that certainly gives me back some more of my time to do other projects around the house and offsets the cost of more mulch!!

This was a better alternative to normal mulch as I wanted something that I wouldn't have to replace in a couple of years. It looks great, doesn't have the odor that bark mulch has, and is easy to lay down. The only draw back is that it is quite expensive and doesn't go very far in terms of coverage. But the benefit is maintenance free for a long time. I only hope that the color remains as vibrant over 12 years as it says on the packaging.

This is a wonderful mulch. Stays put and doesn't decay or get any bugs. We've had it in our planting beds for years. Really holds up.

This mulch is great for my small backyard and play area for my son. I'm still working on the area but so far I am satisfied with the simple yet safe mulch. Easy to spread and arrange. I've had this for about a month, thru winds and rain mulch stayed in place. I also like that it doesn't attract insects like wood mulch. I Would recommend this product and will purchase more to finish my yard.

Looks wonderful. Material was not stuck together into one huge block like I have had happen before. Still need to purchase more.

So far it's beautiful. We previously used feed 2 rubber mulch from somewhere else and it wasn't as nice as this.

Works very well. More expensive than regular mulch but doesn't need re-done for years. Been working with this product for a few years now. Very pleased with the results.

I absolutely love the way it makes my rose garden look! Knowing I won't need to re-mulch every year or two makes the price totally worth it! And so far, I haven't had to do any weeding! No smell after the first day. Would give it more stars if I could.

The mulch looks great and is soft to walk on for kids/pets. It even takes your eyes away from my horrible looking grass, so that's a plus.

This a great alternative to wood mulch. Doesn't blow away in the wind like wood, nor does it float off in heavy rain. Be aware that it takes a lot of any kind of mulch to do a full landscape project. We used approximately 250 bags to do the slope and surrounding flower bed at our house. This product will all but eliminate weed issues and it does not encourage termite issues like wood mulch will.

Excellent product. highly satisfied and got the job done. Very easy to move and decorate with Vigoro Mocha Brown Rubber Mulch and will purchase ten (10) more bags in the near future. A +.
