I have two of these, one at home and one at work and have used them both routinely for years. They both work flawlessly and are still good as new. I use them for stuck joints, heat shrink, desoldering, convincing grumpy engines to start and all kinds of other stuff. I mostly use the low setting which gets quite hot. The high setting is hot enough to melt solder (I sometimes use it to desolder passives from scrap electronics or preheat large metal parts for soldering).

The plug kept falling out and turning it off at crucial times

So far so good, works as it should gets hot and stays hot! Simple on and off switch, I do wish the cord was a bit longer but all good

Work perfectly the only issue is that di not have nozzles to change

We use this product on the low setting to heat seal the tamper proof seals on our food products. It's quiet, feels like quality workmanship, and it works fine. We had our other Wagner heat gun for quite a few years. Eventually the place where the power cord exits the handle kind of came apart. It didn't expose anything dangerous, but we had to put electrical tape around it. We finally replaced it. I like the new plug in cord on this one. It's much more sturdy, and it can be removed from the heat gun. So we should not have the same issue with this gun.
