My first attempt at a repairing a large hole in the wall. I was happy to find this product. It made the job simple.

This product ruined an othetwise easy repair. 1 out of the 4 clips worked. The others would not bite. Professionsls have been using scrap 1x3’s for years but the hacks at wal board tried to take money from people who dont know any better. Literally no prifessionals use this product. I called the company just to confirm the process but i got passed around for 15 minutes.

My repair went into a corner and was up against a metal stud. This configuration did not allow the clips to fasten as necessary so I could not use it.

These are awesome! I recommend these to anyone patching drywall makes a smooth transition unlike those patch kits that usually you have a lump in the area that you apply it to.

These are flawless. Every hole repair I've done has come out flawlessly (can't tell it was repaired). These clips work better than those wall patch sheets (thin metal sheet with holes in them). Just be careful screwing in the clips (don't make a mistake there). patch the cracks with spackle. Let it dry, then float. Afterwards, texture.

very easy to use, clips break cleanly when done, I often use just 1,2,or 3 clips depending on the size of the hole, 4 on the biggie's.

Better to use furring strips. Somewhat of a gadget. Easy to strip the screws with no reliable draw down to recess the screw and no second chance.

Very easy to use and provides stability for easy plaster smoothness

At first I was not real impressed with these. Like some of the other reviews stated, the screws will not always catch the holes in the plates, and if you are screwing them in quickly, it may cause the clips to actually crack the edge of the drywall. When driving the screws, go slowly so you can determine if the screw will align with the holes in the plate. If the screw stops, it means you missed one of the holes. Back the screw out and try again in slightly different location, being careful each time to go slow. This will prevent damage to the plate and your drywall. YouTube has several videos on this product. I am re-plumbing my house and I will need to expose a lot of walls to access the pipes. These clips will be a life saver and allow me to do the repairs myself. I figured I was going to need to hire a drywall contractor, but after my first major repair I now will be doing it all myself after seeing the results. Overall, very happy with the product.

These clips make a drywall repair much easier. I have several patches to repair and using these do make the process much easier. After cutting a patch to fit, I insert the clips and secure them with the supplied screws. An occasional problem is that if you miss a hole when inserting the screw then you need to use a new screw and try again. For some reason, once I try to use a screw and it does not catch I cannot get them to work again. Thoughtfully extra screws are provided so I have never run out of screws. One set of clips seemed thinner than the others and although screws would catch they would easily strip out. I used fine thread drywall screws and they seemed to work better. This was a one-time problem out of the many of these I have used. Overall these are a very handy product and will keep using them.

I had to modify it for my particular use (I used it to attach an air vent cover on my ceiling), but it worked just fine. I only wish a sales associate was able to help me find it when I went to the store to buy it. I ended up ordering online (they had it in stock) so that I could pick it up at the info desk!

The product is good and in the Lansing Michigan area I have only found them at Home Depot. The store itself is another issue. Good luck getting someone to help you. After putting these clips in place you snap off the part that sticks out above the drywall so you can put compound over the seam. I had one clip that the clip was particularly difficult to snap off. The idea and product are a great solution for a problem that has been around a long time.

Much easier than finding studs or removing additional drywall. Very convenient for small repairs.
