I bought this universal fit bathtub stopper to replace my trip lever style stopper (which was frozen in the open position. The two pins that came with the stopper would not work with my 45 year old tub, so I followed the directions and siliconed it to the drain, that worked great I am very happy with the fit and the function of this universal kit. It looks and works great.

Fit perfect and works well. Simply upgrade. Install took less than 5 minutes.

Great product and very easy to install

This solved our issue with our tub drain. The old fashioned weight on a toggle kept binding up. This very easy fix took minutes once the old part was removed. Best of all, we now have a hair catcher.

Just what I was looking for ! This item replaced my leaky lever style stopper with a minimum of labor and time giving my tub a facelift in the bargain. The solid overflow plate was easy to install as was the push pull drain, in my application I used the silicone only and it works perfectly. It's wonderful not to have my bathwater draining away before I'm done. While I did find it a bit pricey for my purpose it is an optimal solution for those wishing to avoid the hassle of replacing drain traps and overflow pipe which usually requires cutting out the wall to gain access. I give it a hearty thumbs up !

The set looks exactly like in the picture and the installation is superbly simple. I have a drainer with crossbars and the provided smaller connector fits perfectly. The bar (the H shape with a hole in the middle) that holds the plate was a bit too long to fit into the opening but I easily snipped off its legs using a pair of snips.

Both pieces were easy to install using screw option (I did not use the adhesive). Looks like it was done by a pro. I'm very pleased.

I looks great, but talk to me in a year and see how the finish holds up. I did not use the silicone but merely screwed the drain in. I wanted to be able to remove it to clear the drain if I had to. The screen does a good job in catching hair and the like so it clogs very quickly. Good product and a good way to freshen up your tub.

I have an old cast iron tub that I was having reglazed. The old drain was the screw in kind and the bathtub glazer told me that in a house as old as mine (1952) it would be rusted to the drain below and really difficult to get out, requiring a plumber. The drain was rusty and old looking so when I was spending the $$ to make the tub look pretty it felt silly to just leave the drain but I didn't want to spend a TON more $$ on a plumber. I came across this glue in drain and it totally did the trick. My drain was concave so it didn't sit in perfectly, but silicone and some heavy books on top over night and the drain is seated and completely stuck down. Really easy and inexpensive fix.

Looks really nice and was incredibly easy to install. The plug works well too, you don't have to worry about water getting through if you want to take a bath. Would absolutely recommend this product.

If you live in a multi-story or 2nd story condo, you probably have learned by now that a plumber cannot guarantee that there will be no leaks if you replace the bathtub or replace the "guts" of the drain system beneath your bathtub (Since the human eye cannot see thru drywall etc, the only way to check a newly installed drain would be to drill a hole in the ceiling from the floor below. Funny, but I have not found any downstairs neighbors who think that is an ok thing to do.) Some plumbers and bath remodeling companies will tell you they can, but you are the one taking the risk. My next door neighbor did this and a few months later the ceiling of the unit below caved in due to a leak from his new tub. I so did not want that to happen to me. However, I also had a bath tub with a finish that was no longer "polished" and the hardware was starting to rust away. I hired a bath refinishing company to refinish/resurface the tub and shower tile walls. (Do not try this as a DYI project with either the Homax or Rustoleum kit sold at Home Depot. I did, and it did not last or look nearly as good as the professional job i had done.). So now, I had this amazing looking, brand-new looking tub but with an ugly drain that showed signs of rust. Yuck. My drain pipe was in good shape, meaning the "T" bar inside the drain was not broken. Therefore, I had the option to either screw on the Universal NuFit Push Pull Bathtubstopper or glue it down with silicone (for those with broken "T" bars gluing is your only option.) Since I didn't like the idea of not being able to "undo" things that I may want to replace with new later, I chose the $29.99 option. The Refinisher told me that my hardware is better than the one they offer to customers, because it has a grid strainer (you can also get one without the grid strainer from Watco). So, in 5 min. I had a brand new looking drain, with a new stopper and a new overflow plate. I can now soak in my tub again if I want to (otherwise, in addition to starting to rust, the old drain and stopper no longer sealed properly and the water slowly drained out of the tub.) I chose chrome, since all my hardware is chrome, but it also comes in other finishes. So, instead of having a tub/shower liner installed for $6,000 (Home Depot price), I have a new tub/shower for $1,000. ($825 to have the tub and shower walls refinished (with a 7 year warranty) and $175 for new shower/tub hardware.) I don't know why Home Depot does not carry this in their stores. This piece of Watco hardware comes in several different kits, depending on what you need (glue or screws, overflow plate or not, etc.) as well as different finishes.

This job took just a few minutes to turn our gold drain to chrome. The installation was extremely easy. Quality of the product seems excellent. Anyone wanting to change the drain color to chrome or update a defaced drain should consider this product.
