These p-traps are available in an assortment of colors that will show up nicely in an open vanity. The oil rubbed bronze is attractive and will match nicely with fixtures of the same color. The plastic construction is rust and corrosion resistant and lightweight which makes it easy to work with. The ABS plastic can break with aggressive or over tightening so proper installation needs to be followed.

I ordered this product because I need to replace the same that has been under the main bathroom sink for decades. The one I have is leaking. It's a fairly good slip joint P-Trap. The joint is adjustable and it was will be extremely easy to install. I also want to get more downward flow as it's just about level as it is. I can recommend this P-Trap to anyone looking for a decent P-Trap. It seems to be a good quality trap.

The only problem is I don't have it in front of me so I can't comment on the color. It is made the same as the brass, chrome and nickel so I can comment on the construction. The good things about it are, It is very easy to install with just a pear of pliers, It will never rust because it is made of plastic and the price is easy to handle. The bad things, You can't clean it with abrasive cleaners. You can only use mild soap. It scratches very easy and you have to be very careful not to over tighten the nuts because you might brake them. I hope this helps with your decision. Good luck with all your projects.

I chose the Westbrass 1 1/2 inch ABS Slip joint P trap In oil rubbed bronze to use in a guest bath that had exposed pipes, but there ended up being not enough room from the wall to the pipe for the use of this kit. But just so happens I had a sink in the garage that needed a new P Trap. This kit worked there just fine. The package had detailed instructions that were very easy to follow.

I installed this on a pedistal sink. It was awesome. I was impressed with these pipes. I really found these to be solid and well constructed. The biggest win was the area at the connection for the p trap - these have been leaking on many other types lately This was sealed tight in a jiffy. It looks great and elegant - I chose to expose the pipes as they look great. Get it today. You won't look back.

The quality is good. The finish was without flaw. The ease of installation receives a perfect rating, with the seals performing flawlessly without only light torque on the nuts. I appreciate the beauty and the feeling of elegance versus a standard white drain fitting. In any visible sink drain, this is a wonderful way to top off a bathroom. Even behind a vanity door, it adds a comforting feeling when opening the doors and seeing a nice dark bronze finish. It has a warm and finishing feeling. The trim cap to go over the connection the wall is awesome! It has a very nice depth to cover a multitude of stub outs at the wall and fits extremely snug on the dark bronze pipe going into the wall. I would call this snug fit PERFECT.

This P-Trap drain pipe does appear to be made from a stronger, smoother plastic than the regular white drain. Otherwise it works and looks the same as any other P-Trap drain setup. The pieces screw together easily. The real advantage of this drain system over others is that it comes in various colors and therefore looks good under a sink. This would work to best effect where the drain is visible and there is a need for it to look as good as possible. This drain is a definite upgrade from the traditional white version.

I ordered this bronze P-trap to replace the average white one as I thought it would look nicer under the sink. The pipe itself does look nice, but I would have to either spray paint or change out the drain pipe in order to achieve an all bronze look. The pipe is bronze through and through, inside and out. It has a nice bit of metallic sheen. Easy to install, but kept having a teeny leak until I used some plumbers tape. I think this is made for a pedestal or exposed bottom sink for those that have the bronze metals throughout the room. It is functional after leak checks but if you want 100% bronze, make sure you address the drain pipe and wall flange as this is mainly the p-trap. If you're looking for a bronze pipe, this is a decent one.

I am not sure why they make these in different colors/styles. They got me though. I thought it would be cool if the plumbing matched the faucet, but who looks under the sink?? Anyway, this is for 1-1/2 inch drains and my drain pipe is only one inch so I put an adapter on it for now and will have to do it right when I have more time and a better adapter with threads. It works for now though, so all is good. This kit comes with directions with pictures so it would be really hard to install this wrong. I have done this a lot so I was fine. I guess it does look better than the typical white PVC, but once again, who really cares what the plumbing under the sink looks like? At any rate, it serves its purpose and I have leaks. I like the cover cap, so it covers the rough in hole in the wall nicely. It seems thick enough that it will last a long time.

From a distance, this ABS plastic p-trap looks like a metal pipe! You'd never know the difference unless you touched it or saw it up close! Honestly, it makes no sense to install metal drain pipes anymore, PVC and ABS are the way to go. Since this is ABS, it's stronger than PVC and since it's being installed under a sink drain, inside a house, I don't have to worry about exposure to direct UV sunlight, so it will last. I also don't have to worry about the plastic corroding. I have some very old metal pipes and believe me, they rust. Eventually the wall pipes will probably have to be replaced if the corrosion gets past the trap connection. But at least this new p trap won't contribute to any corrosion anymore because it's made of plastic! The kit comes with an inch and a half washer and an inch and a quarter reducing rubber washer so if your sink drain is smaller (inch and a quarter instead of inch and a half), this kit will also work to accept the smaller sink drain just by using the smaller washer. Everything I have is inch and a half, so this kit works perfectly without the reducing washer. Very easy assembly and easy to install and since it's plastic, if you need to cut it to size, that's easier too!
