We purchased this refrigerator for two reasons: we need a smaller refrigerator to fit into a tight space, and we needed a filtered water dispenser. This provided us with both.

It has only been a couple of weeks, but so far I am very pleased with this refrigerator. It is by far the best in this price range with an outside water dispenser.

Have had more problems from something that was as highly recommended as it was. Ice maker broke quickly, fixed 1x under warranty and now broken again. Long meat shelf in frig always fell out- we finally removed it and gave up. Water line to outside broken.... and now our 6th sense technology has allowed the freezer to clog and it now leaks into the frig

Fast delivery. Great ice maker. Very roomy Freezer. The crisper Keeps foods and vegetables fresh for many days. Love the adjustable compartments to fit our large bottles and jars. The water does not taste good even thou we changed the filters, but that is because of the minerals in california water.

I bought this refrigerator and I have had a few problems with it. The water dispenser drips from the bottom of the door and so a new door was ordered. It takes 8 weeks to get a new door. Then the freezer kept frosting up around the door. It was so bad, that it froze the light switch in the off position. After 4 visits, the freezer door was fixed. During that time the light bulb burned out and I have been trying for 3 weeks to find a replacement bulb for the freezer. I can't find a small base appliance bulb. I will be calling Whirlpool asking where to find replacement bulbs. Also, the water filter is based on time vs water that runs through it. It has indicated that I needed to replace the water filter even though I rarely used it.

I purchased this refrigerator 5-months ago and from day 1 this refrigerator leaked from under the door somewhere. I had 2-separate repairmen come out to fix this problem and neither one of them could fix it. The first one told me this model is suppose to leak and the other repairman, just could not figure it out. The food in the rear of the refrigerator would freeze and my ice maker would often make hollow pieces of ice. I finally got sick of the frozen food and the leakage of water. I returned it for a different brand all together. Signed so disappointed

I bought a refrigerator from Whirlpool which would never work correctly so they replaced it with this one. I have had similar temperature control issues with this one, though not as bad. In order for my food to stay frozen in the freezer I have to set it on **** which causes really cold areas in the refrigerator. The water dispenser started dripping, even though we never used it. The bottom grill started falling off and people tried to fix it twice. Now the connecting plastic broke and they tell me that the part is backordered for four months!!! This refrigerator is only slightly over a year old and no parts available?!?! I have wires hanging out - it is ridiculous! Also, the inside design is not great - a lot of wasted space. This is the very last Whirlpool appliance I will ever buy.

when i went looking fora a frdge for my parents all i wanted freezer on top, only, i repeat only water on the exterior of the door and most important a water filter for both the ice maker and the water dispencer. i was very happy the find the whirlpool gold 21 cu ft, and have had no problems with it up to now am very happy

This is my second fridge same model. First one was better than this one. Somehow the shelves ect are not place well as in the first one I got. Overall awesome if you need an external water dispenser and don't have space for double/French door fridges.

Do not buy this refrigerator! I bought mine in Dec. 2012 and now the computer board is failing, according to an appliance repair person who came out. With a replacement and his labor, I would need to spend almost $500 to have it fixed. So far the ice maker and water dispenser don't work. He said that the rest of the refrigerator could fail, too, since the computer board is not getting enough power. This should not happen on a fridge that's only two years old!!!

This refrigerator was purchased to replace a 21 year old refrigerator. Besides being quieter, holding the temperature you set it at, more practical with its interior design, it does have one big design flaw. The lowest door shelf is impossible to see what you have in it because it is blocked from view by the shelves above it. This feature makes it very difficult for seniors like myself to use. Larger items should have been stored on the bottom shelf, and as the shelves increase going up, the smaller items would then be stored. Everything else about this unit is well designed for easy storage and retrieval.

I bought this refrigerator two months ago because my family wanted an outside water dispenser. This was the only fridge I could find that had that feature and that would fit with my kitchen cabinets. The gigantic meat drawer constantly falls off the tracks. The refrigerator door is adjusted as far as possible and still will not close on onits own. The foot plate constantly fallsoff. Very annoying! I wish I had bought a cheap, simple fridge.

Bought this with the gas range both excellent products and perfect for my tenants! They are very happy with the purchase!

Had this fridge about five weeks,everything seems to work as promised. I only wish the water would dispense much colder than it does. Not a big deal as the ice maker works as it should. The ice is crystal clear,with no nasty taste what so ever.One hint I would give to perspective buyers ,adjust the shelves before attaching the door. We had to remove the door to get it in our kitchen .Ours sits against a wall,and to adjust shelves,door would have to come off again. Kind of a pain with the water lines having to be disconnected. All in all we like it!

Overall it's a nice refrigerator. My only complaint is the lack of storage space.

Bought this refrigerator for ease of water dispenser. My dad is blind and this has an easy dispenser. The only drawback is the freezer door shelves a little short on width.

Bought this refrigerator six months ago.It started to frost up and quit working.Called whirlpool they sent someone out quickly and repaired the problem.We will see.Other then that it's a really nice refrigerator.We like it.

the inside skinny drawer keeps falling out. refrigerator section too small, freezer too large. Motor is REALLY noisy

I'm not one for change, so it's hard for me to write a review. I am not happy w/ our new fridge at all. It is almost the same size on the outside, but the inside is way smaller than our last fridge, which we loved. We like Whirlpool as a brand. However, I'm sure to make it more energy efficient, it's all bulk on the outside to insulate the inside. The inside is too small. The filtered ice taste fine, but the filtered water taste terrible. So overall, not happy with our new fridge. It is also very noisy.

water does not come out cold. freezer door shelves should be one larger shelve. I do like freezer space. Frig. lower door shelves could be made stronger.

Got it a month ago. Had a Maytag 18cu ft refridgerator. It was manufactured in 1993. Was time for it to go. Never had the ice maker installed or hooked up in that one. Wanted a smaller new refridgerator like the traditional ones that wasn't huge like the side-by-side ones. Love the icemaker and water dispenser!. Only thing is my space was just 32 1/2" and had to trim cabinets on both sides. :( Specs stated this was 32 1/2" that is why I was so excited to get one with those features and a tad bigger than the old one. Please keep making these sizes for those with limited space!

I like everything about our new fridge, except the uneven temps. If I set it higher, the freezer gets too cold. If I set it lower, the freezer is okay, but the fridge gets too warm. Anything in the rear on any shelf freezes, while items in front are at the right temp..

I brought a new house and this is one of the new appliances that came with the house. At first glance, I said "Wow I have a Whirlpool, I cant wait to use it." When I noticed the features like the water dispenser, ice maker, and shelf organizer, I was very impressed. I would recommended Whirlpool products to my family and friends..
