This reverse osmosis was very easy to install and it is very easy to change the filters. The spigot is loose and whirlpool needs to find a way to correct it. I changed the spigot and it works fine.

I have installed these in 3 different houses. Very straightforward installation, and better flow rate from the faucet than some other models have.

I have had this same Whirlpool Reverse Osmosis unit for several years and I have been happy with it. My only complaint would be that it makes a fairly loud (dripping water) noise for 5-10 minutes after use. There was a leak under the kitchen sink and the Osmosis unit seemed to be the source so I ordered this replacement unit to be installed by a plumber. When the plumber inspected the situation, we discovered that the leak was coming from another (unrelated) faucet. So I no longer needed this new/ replacement unit & I returned it. The original unit is still working well & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The engineering design and manufacture of the water pressure and control system (WPCS) is inadequate. I have purchased and installed three of these reverse osmosis systems and the WPCS is the primary weak link in its operation and longivity. The third system I installed in my current residence worked well for two years with changing the filters every six months. Yet, for the third time the WPCS failed by spliting or cracking due to weak plastic composition, use and water pressure.

Bit of a task to install but so worth it! Delicious water. So much easier to get daily water requirements. Plus there's no plastic bottles!

This is a great R/O water filter system...but, the R/O only uses about 25% of the water that goes through it, the rest goes down the drain. Also, it does make some noise at times. So, considering we have a water drought in Calif. it really isn't the best system to have right now.

After two weeks of use, I can say we are disappointed with the product. We had to wait a week for a replacement housing because the Whirlpool tech thought the control valve was bad. Unlike other systems this valve is integral to the housing so you can't replace the valve separately. Flow was still bad and after switching the pre- and post filters we got some flow. I spent more money on new filters and that solved the flow problem. The faucet is an air gap faucet that is particularly ugly but is easier to install. -Would like to find a replacement that matches the sink faucet. If you have more space under the sink, get another brand. Others i have installed are much better. The cartridges are not cheap either.

After installing, water just trickled out slowly. Tried everything to fix it, but lived with it for 5 months. Finally got too slow and found the Troubleshooting guide online at the Whirlpool site. Went through it and it suggested a bad diaphragm. I contacted support, told them what I did, and their answer was to go through Troubleshooting. I said I told you I did that, and then they said, oh, you need a new diaphragm. Then they gave me a link where I could BUY parts, even though I said it was only 5 months old. No help and do everything yourself. Never again.

This unit is very similar to the GE compact unit but sells for about $70 less. I have owned both but prefer the Whirlpool brand because the faucet included with the GE unit is slow. The fact that the Whirlpool unit a lot less money doesn't hurt. Installation was straightforward and the necessary parts are included.

I can hear the sound of running water all the time, especially at midnight. I really don't like it. I am going to return it.

Installation is not a simple task, even for an experienced plumber. But once installed, this design is a big improvement over the older (vertical cartridge) design.

Plumber had no problems installing the unit, like that it is not fastened down, so easier to move enough to replace the cartridges. TDS in the city water measured 460 units, it is coming out of the R O faucet at 14 units.

I installed this unit and after purging the tank doesn’t fill up at all! I don’t even get a single cup of water after waiting for 6 hours!! Total garbage do not buy!

Much improved! I have owned several Reverse Osmosis. I love this one as it is more compact and has a ‘lifetime warranty’.

Purchased about a year ago, filters are easy to get and install, but when something goes bad such as the faucet, it is impossible to find and replace and I refuse to purchase a new system just for the faucet.

Fairly easy to install. We have great pressure at the tap. Water tastes great.

Too expensive for what you get. Replacement filters cost almost as much as the complete unit. Just not right.

This is my second Whirlpool RO system. I like the ease of changing the filters. Just takes a few minutes, with no mess. Great tasting water too!

My drinking water is absolutely pure. I have it connected to my ice makers, and the ice is clear as glass. I probably run a hundred gallons of water through my humidifier in the winter, with no residue. Sometimes I spray my car off with it after washing, no spots. It works great for me and is affordable.
