Within the first year the rubber ring around the top of the washer started to disintegrate. I’ve had this unit less than 4 years and will have to replace. The washer started to make rattling sounds the last few months. Today small pieces of wood Dowling were found at the bottom of the washer. I did not put chopsticks in with my wash so somehow the engineers thought a part in a washing machine could be added made of small pieces of wood? I’d not buy again

It had to fit in a limited space and yet have good washing capacity. We were happy with our old Whirlpool washer/dryer but it was almost 20 yrs old and it decided to “retire itself”.😅😅

Lid latch broke-5 years old. I can not take lid off because the Entire top dryer is attached/screwed bolted to the lid. Can not unclip/unbolt 2 screws/pop open/take a front panel off. The lid latch is and should be an easy replacement for DIYS project amateur. It is absolutely frustrating and going to be costly to get a repairman to spend time fixing this. I will not buy whirlpool again. If someone can correct me -show me I am completely wrong-PLEASE DO!

Now our stacked W&D has created free space for laundry sorting, folding, etc. It's only been a few weeks, but our laundry was really stacked up waiting for the new W&D, so it has been worked hard catching up, and has performed flawlessly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this a few months ago for a small older rental unit I was upgrading. It became obvious to me after a few showings the only negative was that it didn't have a washer/dryer ... something people expect these days. I had just enough space in a closet to fit a system like this in. I carefully researched different manufacturer's options but they were largely from companies whom I had formed a negative reputation over the years. Whirlpool, however, has been a brand I've found to be excellent in quality and long lasting during my 30 years of experience. I saw this model advertised...it looked interesting plus was made by a company I have confidence in. Reviewing its features I found it technologically advanced just as all my Whirlpool products have been. It's also made of good sturdy materials. I had it installed and during the final 2 showings of my property each prospective renter were ready to fill out the paperwork! Had the home been on the market a just 2 more months I would have lost more in revenue than I spent on this attractive unit. After several months I've received only great reports of how much my renters enjoy this easy to use product. Plus...it is so energy efficient it helps keep their utility Bill's low.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this as a convenience to tenants in one of my rental properties that had little space. It fit nicely into a closet. Feedback from the guests is they love it. I emphasized they are contractually bound to reading the instruction manual before operating it, that although the instruction manual states comforters can be used in the unit, I require they take large items of that nature that might place additional stress on the unit to a launderette, and that furthermore only the tenants may operate the system and for their own clothes. Feedback has been awesome - it helped rent my house much easier than normal, plus Whirlpool is the only manufacturer of these I have confidence in.

It is quiet, quieter than my furnace, does not shake when washing and is simple to use. I would recommend this set to anyone who is pondering a set for their first floor for ease of access and, like me, age. I love it so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is not the machine my old one was. Very noisy, glad it is in garage and not in house. Especially don’t like needing to add soap and clothes prior to water loading!

Home Depot did a good job filling htis order

Bought as second set for upstairs. After installation had problems with the washer. Tech changed sensor and left. Still not working. Had him here again to find drain hose was twisted inside from factory. It’s unstable. Dryer rattles and is very noisy. The worse washer/dryer set I’ve ever bought. Would return if able to. Very disappointed!

I hate it and unfortunately I can't return it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to adapt myself to this new stackable. As it is digital, I have to wait when it decides to wash. It's funny and a little scary at the beginning. But I am doing ok. I love the dryer and it eliminates some wrinkles and is not noisy when it stops.

Purchase on 6/28/2023 and the lid is locked and can't be pryed open. My tenant's clothing is being held hostage!! Now we have to go through trying to find someone to solve this problem. Please help me Home Depot!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought in on August 15th and installed on August 30th. The installation was not done in the proper way. Hence we could not use it so far. After making many complaints and follow up another team came and did the job. We are yet to use it. Hope it will work properly now.

This is the only other model/brand that would fit in the space. Can't watch TV when dryer is running. Water sensing is strange. Heavy load of towels or king sheets, water barely covers. Light clothing, blouses & undies, it fills all the way to top of tub

Finally another one was ordered, only took 4 months to get it. It was a big waiting game for me. So far this one works great but back panel is loose & makes a loud grinding noise on the dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Six years ago we bought the same type of appliance. The transmission recently failed so we ordered the new model. The first one delivered had a dryer that sounded like a jet engine. The second delivered wouldn’t shut off. Now we are on the third one. So far it works but started making a squeaking sound. We are keeping our fingers crossed that this one will last.

It took about 4 months but Whirlpool finally agreed to replace it. The new one will wash a load then shut off. You have to manually restart it it rinse and spin! Not recommended. Whirlpool as a company is fine but this particular unit is junk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Leas than a year later, everything just stopped working correctly and now I'm sitting here waiting days for a tech to come fix it because it locked my washer with a load in it. The heat cut off in the dyer. My old 15 year old stackable was better than this. Too bad it stopped working!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 3 weeks ago & am not that impressed. The washer/dryer is louder than I expected it would be & it's very sensitive to an uneven load. It seems like every load I have to re-situate the clothes inside. I have done smaller than usual loads just to accommodate the "uneven-ness" & honestly, I don't know that I am doing it any differently than I would usually. This washer/dryer is NOT like the last couple combinations I've had in past years. Just disappointed as Whirlpool is one of my go-to branded appliances.

We purchased this Whirlpool washer & dryer to replace an existing Whirlpool model in the same space, the dryer was incredibly loud compared to what we had. After using we were not satisfied and called HD and learned the no return policy, not happy. The HD customer service rep was helpful, the warranty service company was fantastic. The tech was knowledgeable, he had seen this problem before, a part comes loose during shipping, he made a quick repair and everything works perfectly.

We had a washer/dryer in the basement of our house, and because of limited space, we purchased the stack able unit and had it installed on the main floor of the house about 5 weeks ago. It was a very good move and a good purchase.

The first time I used it, I noticed the handles were loose and did not turn well. I thought it just wasn't put on correctly and was going to call and have someone come out and look at it. On my third load of clothes, a few days later, I went to unload the washing machine to put the clothes in the dryer. When I opened the lid and started unloading, I noticed my shower curtain that I wash every month without issues, was twisted all around the agitator. Only a tiny piece was sticking out. I tried to pull it out and it would not come. Can't wash now until the curtain is pulled out. I called to have a repair person come out and ended up sending it back for a new one. This unit is not put together well, and looks and feels cheap. I was very disappointed as I previously had a Whirlpool washer and dryer and they were wonderful and lasted for years. This unit is horrible. Do not purchase!!
