The Unbranded White Cordless Room Darkening Vinyl Mini Blinds with 1 in. Slats-51 in. W x 48 in. L was as advertised and expected. It does a good job at dimming the room from outside light on a sunny day, However , if you are one that likes to sleep in the day in a dark room, this option might not be for you. I have had this installed for about two weeks and have been very happy with the results. It was relatively easy to set up and use. I would recommend this for anyone looking for window privacy with the added benefit of dimming the room.

Shades were easy to install. Looks nice as I assumed they would. One of the shades had a missing piece Home Depot offers no resolve Pathetic customer service!

The blinds broke
After having these for just a few years without actually touching them excessively, they broke mid slat. 2 of the pieces bent and broke and another blind, same thing happened with 1 of the slats. The blinds are made from some flimsy cheap material.

    Frame Rail was Bent
I waited six days for this to come and when I receive it, it’s got a terrible bend in the top rail. And it’s the front part of the rail not the back where it could be hidden after hanging. Not happy with this, and these mini blinds cost more than the regular ones because they’re an odd size 25.5 inch. Home Depot needs to make this right.

Onside sags down, no way to tighten it up. I will not buy again. I have a sagging blind that is at a downward tilt on one side.

Very cheap! Do not shorten them to fit!
The slats cut from friction of the tension cord that raises and lowers blind. The blinds do not sit evenly on window sill, once you shorten to fit.

These do not block out the sunlight at all. The sun still shones through

Do not buy if you care about privacy, see photo
These blinds will not keep people from being able to see in. They don't close flush at all, and not just at the top or bottom. I took this photo standing at the exact same distance from each set--the older corded blinds use 51 one-inch strips to Hampton's 50 of the same size, and had overlap. To save pennies on that one lousy vinyl strip, HB defeated the entire purpose of the blinds altogether. No overlap. Big gaps. Useless. It has other issues, but this is all you really need to know.

Hampton Bay White Cordless Mini Blinds Worked Perfectly in my Garage
Updating my garage work area, got rid of the 1950s aluminum blinds on my three windows for more modern ones. Had two of these cut to fit inside the window, a perfect cut. Installation went well. Good instructions, mounted the inside two window blinds to the window, the other to a wood piece. Snapped right in to the support mount. So much better now when in the garage. More privacy and when I want, open them to let in the light.

Warranty not inclusive! Don't hold up to use!
We bought these darkening vinyl blinds and installed them in the bathroom right above the tub. Well, in less than a year there were a couple with broken ends, so I put in a warranty request. I've NEVER had any blinds that start breaking in less than a year! They denied my claim because their "limited lifetime warranty" does not cover the blinds! Looking at the warranty paperwork I see they leave a very wide margin for refusals. And if it's after a year, they charge you to ship it to them!

Bought 10 and well worth it.
I've remodeled 3 bedrooms and Living room and installed 10 internal non corded blinds. About 2 average in each room. They were easy to install after the first one. I did not like the install instructions as the drawing on the directions for the holder face was way too small to interpret as for its direction. Once I installed the first one all others were easy, took about 10 minutes or less each. All sizes (lengths) on my windows varied so I had to wait a week for each one or set to arrive. They are cut about an inch and 1/2 shorter than actual length. I have some that are too high/tall but have not shortened yet, looks easy. Happy with results, debating whether to still use curtains.

                  how to do it
I just finished putting these up. The 22.5 inch wide size blind fits the 23" wide bathroom window in my 1950's house perfectly -- in fact, no room to spare, so definitely get 1/2 inch shorter than the actual window measurement. Over the years, I have installed lots of blinds, but the brackets on these were different than the ones with which I was familiar, so there was a bit of a learning curve. Although the instructions are thorough and well illustrated, the key moment of snapping them into place eluded me (ouch -- fallen blind on old lady delicate-skin arm) until I realized the UPPER tabs have to be secure into the blind headrail before pushing the headrail into the lower supports. I highly recommend the following video -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJdzchD2p2M

                    Great for our rentals
We install a lot of these for our rentals. I prefer these a bit more than vertical blinds bc they tend to fall off. This requires someone to pull down(with two hands) and the design just doesn't break as much. Cordless so it's safe for kids. Once you get the hang of it, it literally takes under 10 minutes to install each one. THe brackets don't have to be 100% perfectly even and it's light enough to hold. Make sure you hit a stud so you may need slightly longer screws(that aren't so cheap)

                      Spend more or less instead
I am disappointed: 1) Home Depot returns are put back on the shelves w/o inspection. Cosmetic damage but useable. 2) The outer package says Hampton Bay. The inside instruction manual says "Nien Made window fashions". Thought someone switched products. 3) It is not room darkening. The no-name generic shades were 1/2 cheaper for same quality. For 50% more I could have bought aluminum ones. In the end, I decided to keep them because it will cost me too much time and gas to return.

Believe the bad reviews. Not darkening, etc
Believe the bad reviews! These are poorly functioning and look cheap. They are not "darkening", they're barely different from the light filtering shades (which are great, BTW.) They hardly lift up, you have to sort of gather them in your hand and push them up. The end caps can't be put on due to the cutting to size that the store does, also they cut them an inch shorter than your measurement leaving a gap. They look really cheap, w/ shiny metal header and a cheesy clear plastic handle.

Easy to install, good quality for a reasonable price, loved that it is cordless especially having a young child in household.
