yep this is not basswood. I've been whittling and carving bass wood, butternut , tupelo , etc... for years. THIS IS NOT BASS WOOD.

It's tiny, but it's what we wanted and stronger than I expected.

The easiest way to get the 1-3/4” by 1-7/16” profile I needed to mill a window repair part. Be sure to check carefully for damage/defects in the part you plan to use.

Well, as far as the product goes, they’re OK. The issue is with the darn stickers!! They will not peel off clean; and IF you can get one off whole, it leaves all the adhesive, which must be removed before staining or painting or whatever!. Hoping mineral spirits will take it off, but I have FORTY of them to clean! Who needs this extra hassle and frustration?!?

This wood grain millwork was the perfect compliment to my overall project. The dimensions were spot on, which allowed me to make efficient cuts to the correct size.

Came to the Home Depot in Conway, AR, and these things are NOT Basswood!

This product is not actually basswood and shouldn't be labeled as such.

We went through 3 saws and couldn't cut off a piece. This is NOT basswood. Basswood cuts like butter. Will be returning this. Buyer beware. I do NOT recommend!

Wonderful quality, perfect for the job!

Sadly the 1-1/4 has the same Home Depot SKU number as the 1-1/2x1-1/2 square dowel in the inventory..and is not on the shelve or available..as far as I could tell.

NOT BASSWOOD! I am very dissapointed. When I went to the store to get this product I found that it was actually pine even though its name is clearly "Basswood."
