After reading reviews I made purchase of this carpet cleaner. It did not disappoint! Before cleaning, rug was packed and filthy! Gave four stars too see overall results over time and will update. Seems to work almost better than the recommended Bissell carpet cleaner. Used in my Commercial Bissell Green Machine.

Thank you to all past reviewers for recommending this product. I used the Zep Carpet cleaner with Rug Doctor to clean a dozen carpets at my home. One carpet had a few set-in stains. I am very satisified with this cleaner and will use again in future. I did call Zep Product Support and they recommended 5 fl. oz per Gallon of water for Rug doctor machine. i ended up using 15 oz 1-7/8 cup) per wash cycle and used almost the entire 1 Gallon bottle by the time I was done. I also rented the Rug Doctor from HD because I wanted to buy the Zep cleaner. Their is a faint to moderate cleaner smell and I personally would have preferred it milder. I was using a garden hose to fill the tank and used room temperature water instead of the hot water they recommend. Had no issues and results were good.

I have a rental property and after a guest checked out, I noticed a horrible stain. I have a bissell carpet cleaner and used this cleaning agent and the stain is pretty much gone. I went over it several times with the cleaning machine to make sure, but it worked! Very happy with this product!

I've used it forever and it always does a great job. I've tried others, but have always gone back and finished the job with the Zep Premium. It's a great Product.

This stuff works great on dirt! I tried different carpet shampoos that made the carpet look good..until it dried. Then all the dirt showed up again. This shampoo got the carpet clean and it stayed looking clean even after drying. I used the shampoo in my bissell pet carpet cleaner. It did not do that great on set in stains, but I'm happy with it!

In my opinion, this is a great deal. Compared to some other shampoos you get with only 60oz bottles, this has 320 oz. For my unit, I do not have to dilute. So I can put it straight in the reservoir for the cleaner. The machine mixed it for me. It was a low suds formula as stated. The carpet was definitely cleaner and softer after it was used. For the purposes of this review, I only did about a 4 x 8 area. I can't wait to move some furniture around and finish the entire room. I would definitely recommend this product if you have some large areas to clean. It is economical and does a good job.

ZEP carpet shampoo is an excellent all-around cleaning product that works on carpet and upholstery. I used it successfully on a microfiber ottoman and chair base, as well as on carpeting that had been caked with pet mess. In both instances, the product delivered great results - it left the areas spotless, there was no discoloration of the fabric and there was no residue left behind. This ZEP product works with several brands of carpet shampooers and in most cases, you can use the product without mixing with water. I used one of the small portable machines that needed to have the shampoo diluted, and that was a simple task. The shampoo doesn't produce foam at all. ZEP shampoo is also fragrance-free. This is a blessing for people who are bothered by perfumed products. The carpet and room smell fresher once they are cleaned, so no additional fragrance is needed. Because this product works very well and can be used in many different machines (including those you rent) I would definitely recommend it. It is economical enough to use for both spot cleaning and for once or twice a year deep cleaning.

I have 2 to 3 of other ZEP household cleaners so i know their products really do what they say they do. The premium carpet shampoo came in a huge bottle that will last me for years to come so its very economical. I try and clean my carpets a few times a year especially after the winter months and also having a dog in the house. Its a great product and i was not disappointed by its performance on my carpets. Also I did try it on a heavily soiled outdoor porch rug that had grass and mud stains discoloring it and it got every trace of the stains out - the rug looks as good as new!. 5 Star performance!

I’ve used all kinds of shampoo and cleaners in my Hoover steamer over the years. This one is my favorite. You get the superb quality expected from Zep at a reasonable price. The cleaner is low foam/suds (I have had issues with some older products getting way to Foamy) This one cleans very well and, and is easy to pour from this large size container. I have always been extremely happy with zip tile floor cleaning products, and the shampoo is no exception.

I have been using ZEP cleaning products since the early 90's and they have been worthwhile products. This Carpet Shampoo is a great product, too. It cleans up doggie mistakes, which we have with 3 dogs living inside. It has s fresh smell, too. One thing is the size of the bottle. I think this was designed for commercial cleaners, but it works fine on my Hoover from HD. I just needed to pour some of the shampoo from the jug into a smaller container. I used a Mason jar. You can see how it removed some stains we had from last week. I would not hesitate to recommend this for either commercial, or household cleaning!

ZEP 320 OZ PREMIUM CARPET SHAMPOO is so big I won't have to purchase carpet shampoo for years! I have a small dog who keeps me busy cleaning and deodorizing my house on almost a daily basis. I find that the carpet holds most of her odors and if I keep it shampoo'd on a regular schedule you can barely tell she lives here. This bottle is huge and a little awkward to pour but worth the effort. I used the stated amount for my upright cleaner and it did a wonderful job.

This jug of shampoo is huge -- almost too big of a jug. You will have to pour it in to something that you later can pour into the shampoo cleaner container. It can be used a part of the mix or if you have a carpet cleaner that separates the water tank and the solution tank, you can do that too. The fluid itself very thin and while it got sudsy, did not get overly sudsy and make a mess of things. I have really old carpets, so I was not expecting magic or miracles. What I got was an almost odorless cleaning of our carpets. It lightened them up quite a bit and unmatted them, so I know it worked. It did not leave a residue. And it was not overly flowery with a smell. In my opinion, there was not much of a smell at all. If you clean your carpets a lot (4x or more a year) this bottle is for you. Or if you have room to store the large bottle of solution, it is also a good product. But if you are limited on storage space...it is a little on the large side. The only reason for four stars is because the bottle size is large enough that it should have incorporated some type of pour-able spout. It probably won't make a difference when it becomes 2/3 full or less, but when it is first opened, it is a bit over the top in size. For our home, I like it. This will easily last a couple of years. Solid product.

Great value. Purchasing in this large size saves a bunch of bucks. It makes over 62 gallons of shampoo and works in just about any machine. My Hoover takes one gallon of shampoo at a time, and takes about 2 gallons for an large area rug so I will get many uses out of this one package. It does not cause foaming in the take-up tank and seems to clean extraordinarily well. Smells clean and fresh without being overly scented. The jug came with a printed 12 page document but it is just essentially the same information as on the rear portion of the label.

This is a very good carpet cleaner we used it in our carpet shampoo machine and we had some spots on the carpet that we have had some problems getting up and this did the job and actually where we cleaned the carpet we could tell a different in it and it hasn't been that long since we had cleaned the carpet you could see the difference. It doesn't leave a strong odor either it's a pleasant scent that you smell. If you have indoor pets or kids this is the carpet cleaner you need. Just follow the directions on the container. One gallon will make 25 gallons you don't want to use it straight out of the bottom it is concentrate. This has stain blocker in it to prevent re soiling of your carpet this a big plus in my book. This carpet shampoo also cleans very deep and helps to pull the dirt out of your carpet. I don't think you go wrong in using this carpet shampoo cleaner.

This 2.5 gallon jug makes 62.5 GALLONS of finished product! That's GREAT, but you should be aware of the FOURTEEN PAGE list of warnings included in this highly concentrated product. This is a classic, 'safe when used properly' situation. You need a safe free air place to mix this stuff up with water to get it to the proper (much safer) concentration for normal use. I mention this first because I wouldn't want to know what might happen if you used this ZEP product right out of the jug without mixing. DO read the directions... and the wanrings. Now, all that being said, at the end of the safe mixing day, this is a great rug shampoo product. 62 GALLONS is a LOT of rug shampoo, so chances are good you'll be storing this concentrated jug somewhere. Make sure you have a good safe location before you take the plunge. Again, with the proper precautions, this ends up a great rug shampoo. That's what you really want, right? So, this works.

I used it on my carpet in the carpet and on the stairs. Excellent for removing stains and spills. Lots for the price! Worked wonders in the spot cleaner.

I called the manufacturer because I have a small area rug to clean, too small for it to be worth renting a rug cleaning machine. I used the suggested method of spraying a mix of the shampoo and hot water and use a scrub brush. Let sit for at least 10 minutes and vacuum with a wet-dry vac. Then repeated the process again just spraying hot water as a rinse. I see no improvement at all. It was a total waste of time, effort and money!

It was NICE Prefer a little more scent but overall great product.

Zep Premium Carpet Shampoo refreshes and cleans carpet wonderfully and leaves no soapy or foamy residue. I use Zep to shampoo my carpet with an extracting machine and usually only one wash application is necessary unless I just want to really deep clean then I'll shampoo it twice.

Did not do the job, I was surprised, I often buy Zep products, it was like plain water.
