Location
Take on any new DIY project with the right tools for the job – even if you don't own them. Rent the tools, use them, and take them back when you're done. Complete your project without taking up valuable shed or garage storage with tools you only reach for once in a while.
Tool Rental
Using The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Cleveland Ave lets you do larger DIY projects. Break free of the limits of old tools and rent up-to-date tools made to suit your projects. Complete your project safely and confidently by renting quality tools. If your local store doesn't have the tool you need in stock, you could find it at another store within driving distance.
Heaters
A comfortable environment makes life more enjoyable, so check out our heater rentals. Portable heaters keep outdoor events, workspaces, or barns warm. They heat a larger space than torch patio heaters, and they're also safer because there's no open flame. We carry gas, propane, and electric heaters in various sizes. Couple this with good outdoor lighting, and you can extend work or play well later into the evening.
Insulation
To make your home more energy efficient, update your insulation. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it correctly. Choose from a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and get those nooks and crannies insulated with ease. It'll keep the house warmer this winter, then continue working year-round. You'll enjoy cooler temps in the summer, too, which can lessen a/c usage.
Truck Rental
DIY moves can be a huge undertaking, so let us help you check transportation off your to-do list with a truck rental. Choose the truck that fits your project. We carry a range of moving truck sizes, so you won't have to pay for more space than you need. Get a minor cross-town move or a major cross-country move rolling today.

How do I rent a tool or a truck?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You may also visit our tool rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is at your local store. For more info on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool for a week?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement jobs may only require a short rental period, and major projects can also be accomodated. You've got options to rent tools by the week, month, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off any mud or dirt from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before choosing a truck.
Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
