When you're beginning to make the leap into a major DIY project, you might not have everything you need in the workshop or shed. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Spanaway Tool Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbox with the exact tools you require to complete your DIY project. It's impractical to purchase a specialized tool when you're not using it frequently. When you're searching for a new tool, try it out before you choose which one to get. Whatever your situation, we have just what you're looking for.
Tame the Lawn and Greenery
Keep up with summer growth with outdoor power equipment rentals. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and the sidewalks and driveway with a pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be looking fresh before you know it.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Scaffolding and Ladders
Take advantage of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage fast and renew surfaces. Ladder rentals help you reach high places when painting houses, fences, and sheds. We carry step ladders and extension ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when you're feeling motivated to check that job off the to-do list.
Load 'N Go Trucks
For large equipment rentals, we keep Load 'N Go pickup trucks ready to rent. You're sure to find the right size for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for DIY projects, storage needs, and packing, it's easy to make us your go-to source for truck rental as well.
Whether you're in need of power tools like miter saws, everyday tools like drills, or large industry tools such as concrete mixers, we've got you covered. We'll even rent you the vehicle to get it to your project site. Let us help you complete your home improvement project with the right tools and transit for the project.
How do I rent trucks or tools?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You could also visit our truck rental or tool rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.
How long can I rent tools?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the month, week, or day, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before choosing a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental truck, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
