9 ft. x 13 ft. 1/4 in. Dual Surface Rug Pad

This is the cheapest area rug that I’ve ever purchased! I bought the pad as well considering I knew it was on the thin size. I had to take the pad out of my home because it smelled so horrible that we couldn’t even walk in our own home and then after we took the pad out, the rug rippled and we can’t keep it laid down flat. Worst quality ever. It’s almost like it stretches. Do not purchase this rug. I wish I hadn’t. Considering it is black you can’t see the ripples very well in the image, but they are there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice quality rug pad. It's very large, 9' x 12' making it perfect for my oriental rug if the same size. As my rig has fringe on either long end, I needed to trim it approximately four inches per side and it fits perfectly. The 1/4" padding is the perfect thickness to add a bit of cushioning but not so thick to make the stretto into the rug seem to great and become a fall risk for our elderly moms. I would highly recommend the Mohawk pad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Mohawk Premium dual surface rug pad is perfect for my small oriental carpets because until i found it i coudlnt keep my rugs from sliding around on my hardwood floor no matter what kind of pad i put under them. I tried this rug pad and problem solved! plus it gives my carpets a nice padded feel when i walk on them. its thick felt on one side and a rubber mat on the other so my accent rugs stay put finally! even when i vacuum them they dont move around and get out of place or let the pad show. I can easily trim it to just the right size and it hasnt damaged my floor at all. I wish i had tried this rug pad years ago!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great rug pad, so much better than the waffle like rug pads that leave waffle marks on wood floors. I was able to cut this to size and now my rug will last longer, anyway, that's what I understand rug pads will do. I used an electric cutter to cut it, but I think utility scissors would work okay too. Very nice quality.

I have a large rug but it is on carpet and has had issues with slipping and developing wrinkles that are difficult to work out. This rug pad has solved these problems for me. It grips enough to keep the rug in place and provides it with support which has stopped the wrinkling. The pad itself is really good quality. The materials are heavy and high quality but the overall weight is light enough to work with so you can adjust the placement without a lot of trouble. It is flexible and has plenty of body to it. This pad is such good quality and is working so well that I will be buying another one for a rug I have in another room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dual Surface Rug Pad by Mohawk Home makes area rugs more comfortable and is versatile in being able to be used on different surfaces. I got the 1/4th inch thick pad in the 9 foot by 12 foot size. I was quite surprised by how heavy the pad was which helped make the pad and rug stay in place. The downside of such a large size and heavy weight pad is that it is hard to maneuver alone but it is unlikely to be moved often so I do not mind. I like that if I ever want to use the pad in a different room, I don’t have to worry about whether I have the correct pad for the type of flooring.. The rubber side down can be used for hard surfaces like wood floors and the felt side can be used for carpeted rooms. I prefer a low pile rug but this can make rugs less comfortable. The pad makes the rug a lot more cushioned and warm. I was pleased to find that the felt is made of recycled fibers which is great for the environment especially for such a large rug pad. I expected there to be a lot more factory smells or off gassing with the rubber backing. There are definitely some smells but it is not as strong as expected and just needs to be aired out for a little bit. The pad is not flimsy at all and feels quite substantial. It is easy to trim down the pad to adjust the size with a strong pair of scissors or utility knife. I feel like the quarter inch thick pad is a good thickness but you might want to go higher if you will be sitting on the floor or have a really thin rug. I was worried that the pad would lift the rug and make it easier to trip on but if you cut the pad a little bit smaller than the rug, it is not an issue at all. I always thought rug pads were just to keep rugs in place and an unnecessary extra item but this pad elevates the feeling and look of an area rug. I would recommend this rug pad if you have any area rugs without padding because it does make a difference to have one and this one is a good one.

My favorite aspect of this rug pad is the rubber side of the pad, which helps keep the rugs in place and prevents any scratches to my hardwood floors. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with area rugs in their home!

By adding the pad underneath it stays in place. Simple to just cut to fit the pad and boom no sliding. Now I don’t have to worry about anyone falling or tripping on the rug. Thank you

It is just what we needed before getting the rug. It will fit perfectly. The thickness is perfect. Not to thick or too thin, making the quality very satisfying. We did try to cut it slightly and it will just fine into any shape as it is not that difficult to accomplish with the way this rug is made. It feels luxurious to me. The rug will be sitting on it with great distinction. It matters to me that the floor is covered this way, and it seems to have done the trick to make me happy as well as my partner. The color is fine as it will be covered up anyways, so it doesn't need to be fancy, of course.
