We’ve had this door for maybe two months, purchased it from Home Depot and loved the fact that I could open my garage and get a breeze through our house. This afternoon, when opening the door, the screen retraction completely broke out of the bottom of the frame, door is broken Way too much money for it to last a month or so. I thought highly of Anderson, but this was extremely disappointing

I rarely write reviews but this was bad!!! I wish this door wasn’t such a failure bc while it worked it was a great solution for our garage. But after a month of light use, the handle literally ripped off the door. Completely unusable now. Would be cool if they could send me a new handle… otherwise it looks like this door is going in the trash.

It was easy to install in minutes and makes it such and improvement over the magnetic mesh we had. What was curious is that the bit that is sent with the item is wrong despite it saying it’s a Phillips bit we got a T30 Torx/Star Driver Bit Luckily I had a Phillips bit but it would have been an extra trip to the store.

I bought this at HD with the installation. It was installed today. What a piece of crap. It was installed so poorly "nothing we can do" It sticks out like a sore thumb. It does not mount to the frame as promised. The installer put a white board underneath the frame to keep it from cracking when somebody steps on it. It is a tripping hazard. People will step & trip over it. Get this gd thing off my house before somebody tries to sue me for tripping on it !!!

I loved this door the first two weeks we had it. On the 3rd week it started sticking when sliding, the latch started becoming finicky and now the screen is coming apart from the frame. Not sure if we just got a lemon but I can tell you I am definitely unsatisfied with this purchase!

Unfortunately 1 month after installation the retractable side has come apart. The plastic holding the bottom frame has cracked and fallen apart. The door no longer functions. I’ve reached out to Andersen support twice and yet to hear back. I would review other options instead of this.

Easy to install and the perfect solution when we want to keep our door open.

I’ve had this screen a month and the top edge is already in need of repair or replacement. I’m a Senior citizen and there’s not of lot of wear and tear with use. I can’t imagine this screen door lasting with lots of family use

I bought this in store. It was easy to install and is a great product. For whatever reason, my box did not come with a seal adapter.

Doors were great. We’re extremely easy to install.

As other review have stated, had door for 1 year, and it has fallen apart in the framing and screen. We have had this door for 3 days over the 1 year return policy with Home Depot, so they could not take it in return, and told us to call Anderson Customer Service because it had the 5 year limited warranty. Well, the 5 year warranty is not a true "warranty" for returning, they are just sending us a replacement screen unit. We have already removed everything from our door frame, so this replacement part will do us no good. So disappointed in Anderson Quality of this product and would advise Home Depot to dis-continue carrying this door. Thinking that the 5 Year Limited Warranty had validity, in reality, it is not worth the paper it is written on. Will Not Recommend Anderson Products!!

I watched the video insurrections. Afterwards, it is about a 30 minute install, very easy. Looks great and operates well

I had the retractable screen door installed. It went in easily. It was installed on Thursday late afternoon and on Monday morning the latch/handle broke off. We had only used it a few times, no guests or kids present, no pets. Very disappointing. I need anther screen door but will not be buying Anderson.

As easy to install as they advertise. Just make sure the top and sides of the outermost part of door jam are equal where this will be installed. If they aren’t you will need to fir it out for proper fit.

I have a house that was built in 1935, which luckily has the original windows, however, they do not open. I wanted a retractable screen that would not distract from the entry, and this screen door did just that. It was also easy to assemble and install by myself. It is beautiful, seamless, and I could not be more happy with my purchase.

Plastic broke in first weekend I had it. Waiting for warranty to replace, after a long wait, got wrong part. Friday, not open until Monday. Had my last door 15 years!!!

This retractable screen door was perfect for our needs. VERY easy to assemble and install.

These doors from Andersen are awful. Mine started breaking down the moment I bought it. Andersen would not replace it either. It has exfoliation corrosion which is caused from improper heat treatment of the metal.

I am happy with this purchase. We had to cut 2 inches off, per the instructions, in order to make it fit out 30 inch frame. The materials seem to be solid and it looks nice.

The screen door was easy to put together. Mounting took a little extra time. I had to jack up one side and put the screws in and then did the same on the other side. Very happy that it is done.

The door measurements were correct. However, the door trim has to flush on all 3 sides. It will not fit with doors similar to mine as pictured. The screen roller mechanism needs extra length as the picture shows. The length of the screen is actually 81 1/2”. In order to get this to work, the door mould needs to be built out. There is no way I’m doing all of that.

The spring in the screen was a nice surprise for me. I didn't realize it opened with a push of a button. I love it! I didn't screw in the sill adapter since i didnt want screw holes in my door sill. I just set it in and it lays fine. I installed it myself after watching a you tube video. I read another review by a woman and that encouraged me to do it too!

I had no issues with this until we had a windy day. When the screen is closed the bottom or top got blown in. After seeing this, you can presh your hand on the mesh when ckosed and it lifts up. Getting it back on the track requires you to open ans close several times and push it back in. To confirm if this was by design or i got a bad one, customer service stated this is how they all are

I bought this as a replacement for the exact same screen door that we had for the past 4 years. The screen was ripped at the bottom where someone had put their foot through it. It is not the same. The frame is smaller and does not fit the same as the original. The frame is so small that it is a reach around to get to the door knob. It is about two inches less wide than the original model frame. Not that big of a deal for the smaller screen opening but the frame is just in the way of the door handle.

No one who has owned this door for more than 1 month would give it a positive review. The door stops retracting within weeks and there is NO way to adjust the tension. Save your money. Bill Inks

Purchased this door for a studio renovated this fall, with the intent of having airflow through the studio in summer. The door installed quickly as promoted, but the lower jam has to take weight even with the metal threshold. The jam is also made of metal, but the side sleeves are plastic. After entry throughout the fall, the plastic on the jam busted under normal wear-and-tear. Never got to use it once, even when installed correctly. So much for Anderson quality.

The bottom frame sits above the threshold of the entry door which makes it an easy place for people to misstep and crack the frame. I expected more from Anderson. See pics.
