Does my local Home Depot still offer Kids Workshops?

Yes, the Downey store offers in-person Kids Workshops. These in-store events are free and take place every first Saturday of the month between 9am–noon. You may reserve your Kids Workshop kit by registering online for the event. Each month features a unique and exciting new kit pack to keep little doers engaged. Included in the kits are all necessary craft materials, as well as instructions, stickers, an apron pin, a certificate of achievement, and a Discovery Education extension activity. Any required tools, such as paint, are provided at the workshop. Customers who prefer not to participate in the in-person event can pick up their free kit in-store or order online at our Kids Projects Activities page to have it shipped to their home. Visit our customer service counter or call us to check availability of the kits.

How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?

Gift cards to The Home Depot are a popular choice for the holidays, birthdays, and housewarming parties. DIYers know they're fun to receive and to give. You can buy gift cards at our brick-and-mortar stores or online at homedepot.com. If you're a recipient, you can visit the Downey Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online. Use our gift cards to shop online or redeem them in-store. There are no additional fees to worry about.

Does The Home Depot Downey offer Curbside Pickup?

Yes, you can pick up Curbside Orders from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. using The Home Depot App.

Select "Curbside with The Home Depot App" at checkout when shopping eligible Store Pickup items. We will let you know via email or text message when your order is ready at the store. Bring your valid, government-issued photo ID with you.

Picking up your Curbside Order:
1. Download The Home Depot App.
2. Before you get to the store, use the link in your "Ready for Pickup" text message or email to tell us you're on the way via the app.
3. After you get to the store, park in a designated Curbside Pickup space. It's typically located near the front of the store.
4. Check in through the app to tell us you're here.
5. Wait for us to bring out your order and load it into your vehicle.
