What do you use to install it on the ceiling?
Asked by Cyndi February 15, 2021Thanks for your inquiry. You will fasten pre-cut wood blocks to the ceiling. Slide beam in place over the mounting blocks. Slightly contersink 2 screws through the beam at each mounting block to hold the beam.

Can I hang a light fixture in the middle of the beam?
Asked by Joe November 27, 2019Thanks for your inquiry. It can be done. However, a block of wood needs to be fastened securely to the ceiling. The block of wood needs to fit inside the Opening of the beam. After that, securely mount the IC Rated electrical box on top of the block of wood. Connect the electrical wires into the IC Rated electrical box. Make the cut out of the faux wood beam so the IC Rated electrical box will come through the Faux wood beam. The IC Rated electrical box should be flush to the surface of the faux wood beam so that it can accept the chandelier or ceiling fan.
I need a 16' beam. Can these be joined together without being obvious?
Asked by malindagale November 7, 2019Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, for the most part, our beams are uniform in size and width. Since you are planning to purchase unfinished faux beams, it will make it a lot easier to join them by using a PL premium adhesive, sand it and them finish it after.

Asked by Wave April 8, 2019Thanks for your inquiry. Because our Faux Beams are made from High Density Polyurethane plastics any oils will not dry easily. That is the reason why is recommend it to stain them with gel stain. We have not tested it. However, if you are willing to test it, we could send you a small piece sample of the beam.
