AnswerHello Rich, this door that you've posted in is a storm door, all Andersen and Emco storm door come with metal frames to mount the door to your existing exterior entry door, you need to have exterior brickmoulding to mount the storm door. If you are looking for just a steel door without the frame/jamb, then check out your local HD store, they usually carry "regular exterior doors with out jams"

The Andersen 3000 storm door is a good looking door. Installation was not hard. But not just a 45 min process. If I were to install the same door again, I could probably do it in 45 min. Then there's the time to install the lockset as well. The built-in screen function on the top panel of glass is great. I enjoy being able to have the option to just have clear glass to view thru or pull down the top panel and have a screen to keep the bugs out and allow for air flow. Then raise the panel again and the screen retracts back into the top of the door frame. The self closure works well. My problem with this door is this, the top glass panel doesn't seal well at all. Air, be it hot or cold comes in around the top panel. I can see daylight between the panel and the center bar of the door that divides the door in half and separates the 2 panel of glass. If we get a breeze or wind, it come right in all around the upper panel. The door itself seals ok in the door frame.
We purchased and installed the door 2 weeks ago. I give it 3.5 stars. I would give 5 stars if the door wasn't so drafty.

Hadn’t put one in in 20 years. I was amazed at how easy it was to put in. I kept waiting for a snag but there was none. Instructions were pretty useful. And BTW, the door itself is beautiful

Broke in less than 24 hours - replacement has issues too
Installed and less than 24 hours later the sliding glass became dislodged and couldnt operate anymore. The HD sales associate was very accomodating and replaced the door for me. The new door is missing 2 pre drilled screw holes on the left side. Not the biggest issue but quality control sure is lacking

First time retract window fails
I purchased two of these doors recently and had them installed 3/1. Well on 3/20 I am showing a friend how they work and when I retract the window to the screen the entire window comes off the track and I now have an off kilter screen with a gap and window I can't get back up. Andersons response is to send me a new panel to install myself. Sure this will be easy. The second door also has an issue with the track but has not affected the performance as of yet

Broken after 3 months
I had the same problem as the other gentleman did with the wind problem. I left my house at 5:15 am for work and and not too long after that my camera alerts starting going off. Didn't think anything of it since neighbors go to work. Well it kept going off so when I check, I saw my storm swinging open and heard the creaking of the hinges every time it moved. The funny part is that the storm door is rarely used. I go outside via my attached garage. If it's used, it's a delivery person putting something inside the door or when my grandkids come over. The dilemma now is that my door has come out of the wood & my closer was so bent that I had to remove it in order to get the door to shut.
The door was professionally installed (not by Home Depot) by a company I hired to install both the storm door and and exterior door I purchased. I need purchase a new closer for the door, which I can't the exact one to replace it & pay someone to secure my door back in!

Poor.Quality Aluminum
After 5 years aluminum rotted away from both inside and outside of door. Had.to replace both doors
House is in subdivision. Not exposed to any harsh elements. One door is under Eve

done by me but by handy men who recommended this particular door
and helped me in placing the order for a reasonably priced door.
