Answer This Question
A: Greetings. Most manifolds are 3/4 inch inlets. If you have a problem with the 3/4 inch inlet fitting you can use a 1 inch to 3/4 PEX reducing fitting. Be advised to check the 1/2 inch outlet PEX fitting. The one I got DID NOT fit on the 1/2 inch outlet PEX fitting. I had to get replacement PEX fittings that worked on the 1/2 inch PEX pipe, which almost doubled the price.

A: Yes, this manifold has 3/4 in. inlets and 1/2 in. outlets. If you other questions, please give us a call at 888-229-2874.

A: The Apollo 16-Port PEX Manifold with 1/2 in. Brass Ball Valves may be used with Apollo PEX-A pipe. However, all of the connections will need to be secured via a crimp ring or stainless steel pinch clamp since all of the fittings within this manifold are PEX-B. We do have the parts needed to make all connections PEX-A and we are in the process of making part numbers and loading these new items onto .com. Please send me an email: ben@mosackgroup.com. I can walk you through how we can get a 16-Port PEX-A manifold on order for you.

I DO NOT recommend this "Apollo 16-Port PEX Manifold". I got the manifold installed and attempted to secure the PEX water lines to the manifold and the PEX fitting DID NOT match up with the normal PEX water lines. I had to go back to Home Depot and buy (16) PEX swivel valves and (2) intake PEX fittings to make it work. Which cost almost double the price of the "Apollo 16-Port PEX Manifold".
I am not sure if this is a manufacturer error or a break down in purchasing by Home Depot.
I would recommend that Home Depot check the PEX fittings to make sure they work with the PEX water lines.

Apollo has long been known in the trades as a good “go-to” ball valve choice. This manifold did not disappoint. Somewhat pricey but you get a lot of convenience and it looks great too. Installation was easy. I would recommend it to a friend.

Could have used clearer instructions. Some instructions were only on the website and not included with the unit. I ended up installing one incorrectly and had to replace it so take your time and for gods sake do no over tighten the connections.

I am a master plumber who has been in business since 1963. That's 57 years of experience. This was my first experience with Pex Plumbing and Manifolds. To an old plumber, this stuff seems cheap. But, your question was about the Apollo manifold. The manifold , in my opinion, was cheaply made, the valves are attached to the manifold very poorly, and the flow, although it is called 1/2 inch pipes, is no where near that of 1/2 inch copper plumbing. Everything at the manifold is water tight with no leaks, so that , I guess, is a plus. This is definitely for do-it- yourself people, not pro plumbers.I'll give the manifold 3 stars because it doesn't leak. The whole Pex system would only get 2 stars.
