      A:  I have purchased several of these cordless screwdrivers over the years as gifts so I don't know what the model number is for the charger on the newer models. The model that I have is older, but here is the info listed on my charger: Black & Decker, Class 2 Power Supply, P/N: 90593303, Model No.: ETPCA-090010U. I hope this helps you.

          A:  Home Depot is an authorized retailer of ours and all products sold and shipped from them are BLACK+DECKER. If the unit is a type 3 it is the newest version.

                  I had this drill for years and it worked fine but after a while when I pressed the clockwise it would work sometimes. I finally gave it to my daughter, and she said it worked fine. She was correctly pressing the area between the buttons. I had incorrectly assumed that the outer buttons needed to be pressed. I bought a new one and we are both pleased.
