Worked for only a few months
What a pain. My original sensors worked for 23 years. These replacements worked for a few months. I certainly hope Chamberlain will send me a replacement , although it appears the replacement will also only last a short time?

Great product for 1994 garage door opener
It works with my 1994 Craftsman 1/2 HP opener. Need to make sure the transmitter (yellow) is on the current sender place and receiver is on the receiving place. I initially misplaced the receiver on the sender place (try and error since I didn't know which side is sender) and the light was not on. So I placed the transmitter on the sender place and the light is on once power was turned on. Everything works after replaced both sensors with new ones and power was turned on.

Worked with my 1996 Craftsman 1/2 H.P.
I’m really running on borrowed time with how old this opener is but my garage door stopped closing and after some research I picked these up to try and they worked and fixed my door issue. I tried connecting at motor first to make sure it would work & if it didn’t work near door that would let me know it was a wire issue. Luckily wires are fine and it worked. Instructions at one point mentioned sensor A but actual sensors in box weren’t labeled to say which one was the sender or receiver..... I don’t know if it matters which side you put them on, I read here in comments the amber light is sender and green light one is receiver so I put the new ones on in that order as old sensors were labeled sender/receiver. Would have been nice to be able to use old brackets but the clips snapped right on the old rail so I just put them right above old ones. Came with neat wire crimps but I was worried about sensors not working and my wire at the wall is already real short and didn’t want to cut back anymore if i had to remove it so I chose to use wire nuts instead. Everything seems to be working fine at this point, happy to be able to use my garage door again.

Bought these safety sensors for my PRE 1997 CRAFTSMAN G-DOOR OPENER. I tested them first by wiring them up directly at the opener unit - see attached photo. Note that both lights are on meaning one is xmiting and the other is receiving. They worked great when paired, and prevented the door from going down when interrupted, which is just what they are designed to do. I then mounted them and wired them in. I even switched the receiver from the east side to the west, not because I had a problem. I just read that other people had problems with the sun hitting the receiver, but not necessarily with these sensors, it could have been with other products I found on the web. These worked great right off the bat, and I could hardly adjust them to not work when I played with the alignment. I have been using them for a few weeks now without the slightest problem. The mounting system is much better also. They clipped right on by 40 yr old g-door track w/o a problem. The old sensors were lag screwed into studs but the occasional bump would bang up the drywall and make them loose and misaligned. Both new and old sensors are shown in the attached photo.

Works well
I have older (~1995) Craftsman door opener. It suddenly did not want to close despite no obstructions.
Traced problem to safety sensors. My opener calls for LiftMasterCraftsmanChamberlain 41A4373A Safety Sensors.
Used Home Depot version and it works fine. One with amber light is sending unit, and one with green light is receiving unit.
Did not have to use the metal brackets that came with the kit. Was able to place sensors in the original brackets.
Good luck with your repairs.

So far so good. Had to a pre-1997 LiftMaster sensor that died and is no longer made. Took a chance and replaced with this model. Instructions were clear. Only had to cut from wire leading to old sensor and reconnect to new wire leading to new sensor. Did not have to re-program door opener or sensor. This model took up less space versus older model. I plan to buy a second pack for my other garage door sensor before it too goes on the blink.

I have a Liftmaster Model 1245K, manufactured 6/95. The sensor lights were both green, until the receiving sensor died. The original sensor set is no longer available from the manufacturer. An installer told me this new style would work. It did!! New mounting brackets are required, but they aren't the best for my installation. I have minimal clearance on either side of the door. My solution was to mount the brackets backward onto the track, using square holes in the track. It works, but the lights do stick out into the door opening. Looking for a way to protect the sensors. Also, The furnished wall mount instruction appears to be in error.

Replaced old 1993 1200 series garage door sensors and they are working fine. I hooked wiring up just as stated in instructions. The brackets that come with unit are a little tricky but if you install bracket with front rotated towards door so hooks easily slide over rail closest to you and then rotate them backwards until the 2 tines on backside slide over back of rail you should have an easier time.
