A:  No it is cotton canvas, not waterproof

A:  Light rain yes but it's canvas so once it's soaked thru its going to be wet underneath. Maybe some water proofing spray would help even more

Everbilt 9 ft. x 12 ft. 10 oz. Canvas Drop Cloth is a high quality product. The seams are doubled stitched and should provide years of service. The size is slightly smaller than the 9 foot by 12 foot listed; the actual dimensions are clearly listed on the package as well as the square footage. The 10 ounce weight is truly heavy duty. I recommend this product.

I seem to never stop painting, inside and outside. I don't think I'm too bad of a painter, but I still get paint drips and droppings. Canvas drop cloths are still the best way to protect and provide protection against getting those drips and drops on flooring and furnishings. I also still do a significant amount of painting and staining outside. And these drop cloths are great for protecting the cement, decking, and steps. You can also wash these drop cloths for a clean reuse.

This Everbilt canvas drop cloth (Model 91210oz, Made in Pakistan) is as heavy-duty as they come. Weighing in at 7 lbs, 1oz, it measures 5” thick when folded in its original 12”x13” package. The double stitched hem will likely never fray and the heavy canvas won't tear from ladder legs or foot traffic. It also stays put and provides enough traction to keep from slipping while walking on it. Water beaded up on the fabric, but paint easily seeped through to the other side after trying to wipe it up. That's typical with any cloth, and one reason I like plastic or plastic-lined cloths; absorbency has it's downside. It a good price for something that will likely last a lifetime - I think it's the last canvas drop cloth I will ever need. Just be careful about paint seeping through.

Versatile drop cloth for painting projects, protecting floors, or covering furniture. It’s thick enough for the job, but not so heavy that it’s difficult to spread out, reposition, or fold. The description says it’s “super absorbent”, and it probably is, eventually. As a test, I spilled water on it and let the water sit for 3 minutes. As you can see in the picture, the water stayed on the surface of the cloth and I was able to blot it dry with a towel. To me that’s even better than if it were quickly absorbent because it gives you time to clean up a big paint spill before it soaks through to the floor or furniture you’re trying to protect. A few things to be aware of... Even though it’s described as a 9 x 12, the ACTUAL size is 8 ft. 9 in. x 11 ft. 9 in. That might not seem like a big deal, but it decreases the total coverage from 108 sq. ft. to 102 sq. ft. If your goal is to cover the floor of a 9 x 12 room, you’re going to be a bit shy. Even though it’s rated as heavy duty, it’s not so heavy that it won’t shift or bunch up on hardwood or tile. You will want to anchor it or tape it along the edges to keep it in place as you work or consider Everbilt’s version with a latex/rubber backing. The seams are a bit sloppy. OK, it’s a drop cloth, not fine bed linens, but the seams feel like they might eventually unravel if you machine wash it frequently. Even then, it would still work as a drop cloth. There was the slightest of odor coming from the cloth. For the super sensitive, you may want to note the label (see pic) that describes the fiber content. Recommended Everbilt 9 ft. x 12 ft. 10 oz. The Everbilt 9 ft by 12ft 10 OZ. Canvas arrived in a well packaged carton enclosed and folded in a sealed plastic cover. I selected it because of the name Everbilt. I like the large 9 by 12 size. The specific feature is that it's tight woven and heavy duty canvas for years of use. I am presently using it to cover my exterior painting tools until next summer when I start up again. The quality is excellent. It will work out as planned. I like it.

This is a well made and heavy duty drop cloth in a great manageable size. It is washable and reusable so perfect for painting or projects where you need a clean surface. The measurements on my drop cloth measured a full 9 feet by 12 feet even though the actual finished size noted on the packaging states 8'9" x 11'9". The material feels like heavy cotton canvas but it is not stated on either the packaging or the tag sewn into the drop cloth. There is a seem sewn down the middle of the drop cloth but that should not effect its performance. Overall, I am quite pleased with the drop cloth both in it's size and the material used.

The Everbilt 9x12 drop cloth is made of 10 oz. canvas. The edges are double stitched (see photos) and the actual size is 8’9” x 11’9”. It should be noted that it’s not flameproof – it’s flammable so due caution should be used. The drop cloth is washable (O.K. maybe not so much in my house. My wife has given clear instructions that I can hose the drop cloth off in the back yard or take it to the commercial laundry mat). This is handy not so much for the top side, but if you use it in the garage or yard or on the patio you can wash the cloth and then when you use it inside you won’t leave oil or leaves or dirt on the floor under the cloth. It has a net shipping weight of 6 pounds, 9 ounces according to the paperwork I got from the shipper. I’ve not put it on a scale, but it’s ‘way heavier than a plastic drop cloth of the same size. The canvas is easier to fold too, not being as slick as plastic alternatives. In use it doesn’t slip on the carpeting in our middle bedroom (my old blue plastic tarp has a nasty habit of moving at the most awkward moments). I’ve not spilled an entire can of paint onto it, but drips aren’t soaking through – and tracking isn’t as bad as on my plastic tarp. The Everbilt is quieter, too, than my plastic tarp. This is simply a well made drop cloth that works as advertised. HTH Regards, Jim

I really like my new EVERBILT 9 FT. X 12 FT. 10 OZ. CANVAS DROP CLOTH, GRAYS! It is a very heavy duty, but light and flexible drop cloth, the best I’ve ever owned. Unlike plastic, which tends to slide around under your feet and is not only noisy, but hard to keep in place without taping, this drop cloth stays where you put it and does a great job in protecting what it covers. It easily captures any spills, and doesn’t track spilled paint the way plastic does. It is very absorbent, as well as rot resistant, and is machine washable, which is a big plus. It is also great for covering items in storage, to protect them from dust. I highly recommend this drop cloth for anyone needing a quality product at a great price!

Everbilt Heavy Duty Canvas Drop Cloth I selected this heavy duty drop cloth for the many messy projects I get myself into including interior & exterior painting. The fabric is heavy duty, very absorbent and rot resistant, is reusable/washable though with this large 9 x 12 size I’d probably take it to the laundromat with commercial size washer/dryers instead of my own washers as it weighs over 7 pounds dry. If I don’t make too much of a mess using it for painting, I’ll use it this winter to cover items on my back patio from the cold/wet elements. You could very easily add grommets in each corner for many other uses (like to block the wind on a covered patio). This drop cloth is hemmed on all edges giving it a great finished look. I’ll surely be ordering more of these as they come in three sizes. Great product & price for simple solutions.
