Q:Is it strong enough to use as replacement hammok fabric?

Answer This Question
A: It’s cotton. It would work for a season or two, but then would become a hazard. Cotton is weak after exposure to UV. Synthetics fare better (long term).

A: Unfortunately Shar, this also is a 2-panel drop cloth with the seam running down the middle! The seam has not interfered with its usefulness, but it's there nonetheless!

A: Yes, prime it first. Would be best if you can mount/stretch it to plywood or frame, but yes, it is a cotton canvas- will work perfectly.

A: Yes if it has a void of a few inches between the canvas and ceiling. But don't expect it to not dimple the ceiling if the canvas lays flush on the ceiling..

Answer This Question
A: It depends on how clean you want it and what's on it. If it's just some water based paint you can put it in the wash. Make sure there is nothing in there you want to wear. Cold water and soap.
You can also use a broom and some dish soap then hose it off and hang dry.

A: Heavy Duty front end loader. Be careful when you dry, as they can start on fire if unattended.

Answer This Question
A: It is a tarp for painting purposes. As long as there are no lights on the back side it should be ok. The creases from beginning folded May be the problem
by|Mar 21, 2019
A: This will not work. The material is too porous.
by|Jul 2, 2019
A: These are fairly heavy tarps. As far as painting tarps go, these are more dense than most, should work fine for what you are choosing to use it for. The big folds and wrinkles will likely be more of an issue.

A: My tarp purchased June, 2019 says 53.5% Polyester, 43.5 Cotton, and 3% other fiber. Also don't believe the dimensions on the package. It is not 9 x 12, it is 8'9" x 11'9".
