what size pilot hole do you drill?

AnswersBy eye, match up different drill bits with the shank of the screw until you find one that is just as big in diameter as the portion of the screw without the threads. Using this sized drill bit will allow the threads of the screw to “bite” into the material and allow the screw to easily to driven in.
