The composter is not hard to assemble but it is...
The composter is not hard to assemble but it is tedious. Read ALL of the instructions before starting to assemble it. It is easy to put a piece in the wrong place or backwards, which may mean you have to start all over again.

FCMP Outdoor tumbling composter
Arrived quickly. Easy to put together (58 yr old woman) but I didn't use vague paper instructions that can with but rather googles the instructions that was much clearer. Took about an hour as many many screws. Sturdy for what I use in it( twigs, leaves, grass clippings, egg shells, peels, etc). Happy with purchase.

Easy & effective to use for beginners
This composter is easy to use for kitchen scraps. As long as you make sure you have a good balance of greens and browns it does not smell. I have had it for several weeks and have had no issues with any pests trying to get into it. I like the dual chamber so that I can allow one side to fully compost while still adding scraps to the other side. The ventilation is adequate and it was not difficult to put together.

Great for small batch composting. Fits nicely in my raised bed garden. Easy to give it a spin while I'm working in my garden. Convenient place to put my garden waist to use. Works pretty quickly. A bit smelly for a short time, but only when I'm close to it. I've had it for about 6 weeks.

Had two units done by lunch.

35 minutes on the 1st one.
25 minutes on the 2nd.
Don't over tighten the panel bolts.
No need to put a 3/8 wrench on the inside LOCK nuts. They tighten without using the wrench.
Use a ratchet and square head.
A drill is too strong and you will strip the bolt head.
Put the sliding door on last.
Instructions are not great ... but as a guy ... we only look at the pictures anyhow.

This is exactly what I needed. I picked this one because of the two chambers; I have a small space, and this way I can let some compost mature while still adding items to the second chamber. It was super easy to put together; many reviewers had trouble, but in reality, it was straightforward. Having a second set of hands made it easier to hold while tightening screws. It fits in my yard well, the opening is big enough for easily adding items, and the paddles inside ensure that plenty of aeration happens when it turns. I don't find turning it difficult, either. A great investment in my new compost adventures!

difficult to put together
This is most difficult thing I have ever put together, and I have put a lot of stuff toghter. It is not for the faint of heart. It is best to use two persons. One most rely on sense of feel to put the nuts and bolts together, because you can’t see what you are doing. I haven’t used it yet, but you can bet I will. Not going to let 4 hours of work go to waste. I am experienced composter.

It was a project to put it together but the online video was an excellent guide and it required a few tools and an occasional extra set of hands. It’s a great size for first time composting, sturdy and easy to maintain.
