Not worth the money.
I ordered two of these pedestals and one had missing parts which prevented installation of my GE dryer. Contact GE if that happens to you. If you are using yhe pedestal forbthe GE gas dryer, just know the pedestal is slighter bigger than the dryer.

Drawers are Poor quality
I love my GE Ultra washer and dryer but the GE pedestial GFP1528SNWW look great but Pedestal drawers function poorly, Just with a single detergent bottle and the bottom scrubs and leaves plastic residue under washer and dryer. There is no support for the bottom of the drawers. I looked back at older versions and they have a cross bar to keep the floor bottom from dragging....Any suggestions?

A tad pricey but..
You're paying almost 30% of the price of each washer/dryer so you have a pedestal to prevent your back from hurting so much. It does make your room look a tad smaller if you have a lower ceiling since it makes the machines look huge. It does help with storage, though. Many don't need this if they aren't too tall, but even at 5'8, it makes it a bit more comfortable for me.

I wasn't sure I would like the pedestal and didn't know if I wanted to spend the extra money on it but I'm glad I did. My previous washer did not have one and this makes it so much easier to get clothes in and out of the washer. Plus it adds storage space.

Large capacity drawer for storage. Drawer itself less robust than expected, but it is a sturdy base for the combo unit that raises it to the right height for easy load/unload.

Working fine for me
The pedestals were installed 3 to 4 weeks ago. The boxes had loose tape which left the flaps open. However, no parts were missing. The bag with the hardware came loose on one of the boxes but fortunately stuck to the slide rails on the outside of the drawer.
The installationn went easily. I did use the shipping bolts on the washer and hired a couple people to install the units.
Now installed for 3 weeks, there are no issues. the drawers work fine, although I'm not storing anything in them. I did install the dividers in the drawers for support. They slide fine. There's no imbalance, or excessive shaking on spin cycle. Everything went well
