Installed onto new washing machine to stop water hammer from...
Installed onto new washing machine to stop water hammer from occurring. Would have preferred to install these onto the wall shut offs instead , but they are an older style and would have made attaching the water hoses difficult. So far they seem good enough, but would have preferred a fully copper one since they tend to last longer than stainless. I don't have previously experience with this brand, but didn't have time to wait for my preferred brand of hammer arrestor.

Don't bother. Buy a Sioux Chief brand.
I bought two of these to silence the severe water hammer caused by my new LG washer, which was audible over the entire house -- upstairs and downstairs. At first, it seemed like it was improved about 25%, so I didn't bother returning them. After 3-4 months, it was as bad as ever. A year later, I decided it was time to try again. Bought two, Sioux Chief 660-HB for hot and cold for $14.50 each and the result was amazing. Water hammer is only slightly audible.
The hot water side seems worse, so I'm already planning to replace that cartridge with the larger Sioux Chief 652-A, since they simply unscrew with a wrench and are same size fitting.

Worked immediately
Our new washer caused more water hammer than older one. I saw good reviews for these Arrestors and bought two of them.
I put them on yesterday and we now here no water hammer.
Very easy to install. Simply turn off the water supply valve, disconnect washer water supply hose, connect Arrestor to valves, connect washer hose to Arrestor, turn on the water. Done. We've heard no "clunks" since installing the Arrestors. I installed one on each the hot and cold water supplies.

Just what the Plumber ordered.
I read the reviews and And purchased this product because of the positive feedback. I bought and installed a pair At my house because the pipes started knocking when I installed a new washing machine. After reading the reviews I thought I should install them on the back of the washing machine So they would be vertical And have the flexible hose between them and the rigid copper pipe at the hook up. The connections at the back of the washer were too close together so I had to do it at the hook up. They’re installed horizontally and work just fine. They have even stopped the knocking in the bathroom sink 30 feet away.

Better then I expected
Had(operative word there) issues with water hammer. I had bought 2 other kinds prior to this purchase, neither made much of a difference. This one, no more hammer time!
