Fairly sturdy, sturdy enough to hold music and guitar books...
Fairly sturdy, sturdy enough to hold music and guitar books all the way across. I put a 1/8" thick white plastic liner (bought elsewhere) on each shelf and thin white cut boards (bought and cut at Home Depot) at the ends of each shelf, attached via velcro (also bought at Home Depot), to hold the books in place. I also bought from Home Depot wheels for the shelving unit. Those wheels were "Honey-Can-Do 4" Caster Roller Wheels for HCD Shelving Unit, Set of Four." I am happy with the shelving unit and its wheels. Easy to move around. Two of the four wheels have brakes.

I was hesitant to get this shelf because I thought it was going to look too industrial but it was...
I was hesitant to get this shelf because I thought it was going to look too industrial but it was perfect for my kitchen. This has freed-up so much cabinet space. It was easy to assemble. The metal racks/poles have black plastic coating on them to make it have that nice finished look. This is worth the buy, you won't be disappointed!

Nice storage racks.
I ordered two of these to help organize a narrow storage area in our home. For what I got them for they work out alright. Don't have a lot to compare these too, but I'd say the "deal" I got would have been better priced around $30-$40 vs the $50+ that I paid. They feel pretty sturdy once assembled, but not sure how much weight I would trust on the higher shelves. Assembly was pretty quick, but one of the packages was clearly roughed up more than the other. All of the plastic rings put in the packaging to prevent the metal from smashing together were broken in the one and screwing together the main poles was somewhat challenging with bent threads.

Impressive Look
Very easy to assemble even by myself after putting 1 together with a small child. Black color is very impressive and looks good within a room. I installed wheels and it is extremely handy in my crowded garage. I suggest fastening to wall if you have small, curious minded children who would like to take stuff off of shelves taller than they are. One self was bent in shipping though. Otherwise I am happy with the purchase.
