Would it be best to install the two sets of 80x60's at these closet openings, BEFORE or AFTER the carpet is installed?????
Asked by: Art
Art, most likely the best way is to install the carpet 1st, especially if you intend to have the carpet run into the closest. You can also use our jamb bracket in case you dont want to have the Oak saddle run across the floor of the new carpet, Like the community answer below, thank you) You can get in touch with us at 631-414-7725 or sales@paniflex.com and one of our customer service team can help guide you in the best decision since there are many factors that make all installations unique in some way. Thank you.

Why won't the doors close flat.

Why won't the doors close flat.
Asked by: acc
acc, I hope this helps if not call us at 631-414-7725 and ask for Doug and we can help. if it’s a double unit, the doors aligners must be installed properly as they help the hinge extend fully by their action. Also make sure the door is installed properly and plumb in the opening. If the door is leaning slightly inward (header further into the room than the bottom pivot), this will tend to happen from the weight of the doors leaning inward slightly. Always you should lubricate the hinges from both sides with a dry lubricant, like a “Teflon” type spray. Regular WD-40 or a silicone lubricant will work but it applies wet and therefore needs to be wiped up of excess spray. The Teflon applies dry with less overspray and won’t collect dust. Then you can firmly “press” on the hinges at all hinge location from the outside while holding or supporting the panels flat. You will feel a little flex in the panels and this is OK, just press firmly enough for you to see the door panels flex inward just slightly and not too firm or with so much force that the mirrors break. In essence, the hinges just need to be “worked” and by pressing on them, it forces them to extend all the way and they will loosen up and the doors will lay flat. The hinge is actually designed to pull itself closed so what you are doing by “working it” is helping it to reach its full functioning potential. I hope this helps.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow. It is good quality and operates smoothly and quietly. The MDF provides a solid backing for the mirrors. The mirrors are smooth without ripples or imperfections reflecting true images. I have two sets of these double doors. I would definitely recommend them.

Not difficult to put together once you understand what goes where but don’t rely on directions as they are for multiple applications which is not helpful. It was like a Ron hazzleton episode as the directions skipped important parts.

Doors are pretty nice, solid, and operate smoothly. I don't really like the bottom wood bar that goes under the door. I'm not really sure why the whole bar is necessary as the door rests on the ends. Overall it's a really nice mirrored door and installation wasn't too bad. It's just the wood bar at the bottom that's odd. I sanded it and lacquered it so at least it looks a little better and will hold up better over time. It's just awkward sliding anything out now because of the wood bar.
