I was surprised that the only thing holding the two halves of the couch together are the two middle legs. I was hoping to have the option to change the legs but the ones provided are made specifically to connect the couch pieces together.

This was EASY to assemble thanks to smart design. You only need ONE tool, the allen wrench which is supplied. The directions have only THREE steps. There are six legs, that each take TWO bolts, so that's a dozen bolts to torque down. The bolts are BIG and have large heads, so there are no fussy washers to deal with. You just put on the legs, then slide the arm-rests into place. I had one armrest that was a little stiff, so I used "gravitationally assisted posterior pressure" to get it into position. That means I sat on it. The fabric is sturdy, which is what I want in a sofa. If we used this for guest sleepovers, I'd cover it with softer materials like sheets and maybe a thin pad. But as it is, it's very comfortable even for my large American carcass. I've assembled dozens of sofa beds over the decades. This is by far the best looking, most comfortable, and is one of the easiest to assemble.

The unit is very firm and the color is dark enough that it would hide most of the ick that children/pets can bring, The sofa was super easy to assemble and included the wrench needed to do so. I am a bit concerned with the basic construction of the frame as it is only covered with a thin black mesh that makes it susceptible to damage because as the couch is set up your children/pets could access that area in the back and could easily bust through the mesh. Both arms are easily detachable if desired for when the couch is being used as a futon.

Do you know the old saying “you get what you pay for”? Well, this is a case of you probably get a little bit more than what you’re paying for. This is one of the most inexpensive sofas I have seen. It has very crisp clean styling and the material is of very good quality. I was very surprised for the quality of the price point. Assembly is super easy. It comes in two sections within the same box. They have found a neat way to store the armrests and the legs for shipping inside the bottom of the seating portion in a zippered pouch. Very slick stuff. To assemble simply lying face down on the ground insert the four corner legs tighten them by hand then insert the two center legs attach them with the two bolts for each leg and you’re all set. Armrests are designed to easily slide in and out, so when you use it as a bed you can take them off. The back of the sofa you pull towards the front until you hear two clicks and then it releases and lays down flat. Very clean working mechanism. It really couldn’t be any simpler to assemble and use this convertible sofa bed. Bed comfort, I haven’t slept on this, and I never will because I have my own bed. However, if you have kids coming over or an occasional guest this should do the trick. I have a hunch they wouldn’t want to spend more than one or two nights sleeping on it. And that could be a good thing :-). The large tuffs on this model definitely protrude into your sleeping position. I lay down on it for a minute or two and figured I would have great difficulty sleeping on this unless they were some kind of padded mattress cover on top of it. I am recommending this Lucid Comfort collection 2-piece sofa bed futon with reservations. The fabric is a light gray but a little bit coarse to the hand. I understand why you don't want tufting with buttons on something you're going to sleep on but the button less tufting looks Unfinished and it would have been better just to be left off. It's fairly easy to assemble but very heavy to move around. Easy enough to stretch out to be a sofa bed but it is less than a full size when open. Too narrow to sleep on if left as seating. And unless you like a very, very, very hard sleeping surface this may not be for you. I personally gave up after about 10 minutes because I need something softer. So it's a yes from me but with those reservations.

This futon is certainly nice looking and the gray linen is neutral in color and can fit with most any color scheme. Assembly is straightforward and easy (as long as you actually USE the large-graphics instructions) and no tools are needed (an Allen wrench is included). It took me (single-handed) about ½ hour to assemble (including my mistake by not following instructions). The cushioning is quite firm. The back can be positioned flat (bed), leaning, or upright (couch). You should note that in the ‘couch’ position, the support for the futon in the back extends, so it will stick out from a wall a few inches. The arms are removeable and it’s quite easy. This is a quality piece of furniture that looks very nice.

I always wanted a futon, I am glad I waited to find the right one. So easy to set up, arms come off real easy for sleeping. Took me about 20 minutes to set up, tool is included. Lightweight and easy to move, if needed. Has a modern look, the charcoal color goes with everything, great piece to complete your living room or bedroom as it is not too big and bulky. I highly recommend this sofa bed.

This is an excellent futon sofa bed that is great looking, comfortable to set in, and also comfortable to sleep on. It was just the right size for one of our bedrooms that my granddaughter claims as hers. She loves to read and sleep on it when she spends the night. The color, gray linen, goes get with the wall color in the room. The futon was easy to assemble, just attach the six legs, and slide on the arms on each end, and assembly is done. It is very easy to go from futon sofa to a bed by just pulling the back forward and then laying it flat. To take it back to a sofa, just pull up on the back until it locks in place. Very please with the look, functionality and comfort of this futon sofa bed. My granddaughter loves it.

The "Lucid Comfort Collection 2- Piece Light Gray Linen Futon Chair Sofa Bed with Buttonless Tufting" is lovely. The material is soft to the touch, and a beautiful color. It is exceptionally firm to sit on, I have not slept on it yet. There is no give, you do not sink into the cushions, which is probably good for rhose who need support. It was easy to put together, thought the instructions did not give a lot of detail. (II you get this Futon the four long screws are for the middle legs.) I think it would work best in a den or spare room,
