A quick fix for an otherwise healthy garden hose. Just cut off the old connector with a sharp knife, insert replacement and clamp it down until it doesn’t drip.

                New Cheap Junk
The picture is old. They’ve updated this product and made it cheaper and it shows. The barbed fitting is cheap and the clamps are junk. If you buy, plan on buying better worm drive clamps from the plumbing department. I was not able to tighten up the clamp to keep the hose from spraying me and my intended target.

Cheap construction - not as pictured
I was very disappointed to look at this when I got it home and note that it is aluminum with a cheesy brass-look finish. The narrow section that fits inside the hose shows telltale lines on each side telling me it was formed in a mold; this will make it more likely to leak. In addition the aluminum will oxidize. The photo is NOT the same as the item delivered. I will return it

                    Crap, not deep enough
The socket isn't deep enough to screw fully onto my hose accessories with the washer in place. Total crap.

As another reviewer mentioned, unfortunately after I had order, these are not brass as they appear online. They are just shiny brass colored metal. They are a step above plastic but not even close to brass. Use caution.

                        Warning ! Do not use!
Warning! Unless you are looking for a project down the road, don't use these. I bought four of them and learned the hard way that they corrode very quickly where the threads make contact with hose bib, nozzle, etc., eventually making it impossible to remove, no matter how much WD-40 you use. They are cheap aluminum fittings colored to look like brass. Aluminum presents a greater risk of galvanic corrosion than most other materials. This means that where it comes into contact with other metals it corrodes quickly, and the result is the threads become permanently stuck together. So unless you are handy with tools and want to waste the time cutting away and knocking the old threads off with a chisel, hopefully not damaging your hose bib, nozzle, or other fitting in the process, then go with REAL brass (but these seem to be getting harder to find at home depot) or plastic. I've attached a picture of the aftermath.
