Bright Daylight bulb, with adjustable brightness via the Wiz app. The app also allows you to set up separate smart devices into rooms, and set devices or rooms on schedules. This can be very useful for when you are away from home. The Wiz app also has the capability to be added as an Alexa skill, so you can manage your light via voice control ("Alexa, turn off family room"). Setup with the app was fairly straightforward; note that it requires you to be connected to a 2.4 GHz wifi.

So I have used other Wi-Fi Dimmable bulbs, but the light has always been too harsh. Finally these Philips 60-Watt Equivalent A19 WIZ Connected Dimmable Wi-Fi Enabled Smart LED Light Bulb Daylight really looks like daylight without being harsh. Downloading the WiZ app was pretty simple and I was able to schedule turning on and off, dimming and adjusting brightness. It looks like the apps people are adding features all the time. That’s also good, but for me I like the light this bulb emits, plane and simple.

For some people, installing smart-bulbs may be the easiest way to make your home smart. By simply screwing these bulbs in any light socket, you give new lighting abilities and options to your room. One requirement to fully utilize the potential of these bulbs is the smartphone, be it Apple or Android. An app called “Wiz” is what you’ll need to get and once you have it, running the app will take you through the steps needed to control your bulb. Using the Wiz app, you can schedule your light bulb to do many things, including turning itself on and off based on a schedule, setting the amount of brightness of the bulb, naming bulb, fading in and out of the bulb, among other settings. If you have the Google assistant, Alexa, or HomePod, you can also control your bulbs through them using your voice. Since I have the Apple HomePod, I was able to use the Siri shortcuts to make voice command to turn the bulb on and off. It was very easy to do.
I really like the ease of use when adding new bulbs, a new update that I got yesterday for the Wiz software gave it new capabilities which is always welcomed. If you’re in the market for a smart-bulb, try these out. These lights use only 8.8 watts of power and have a brightness of about 800 lumens. They are the simplest, and most foolproof LED bulbs that I have used so far. Highly recommended.
They don't mention this in the printed destructions, but after an hour of trying to program the bulbs (per printed destructions and on-line search results), I called Phillips Customer Service @ the 800 # only to learn that you cannot program the bulbs attached to most dimmer switches. Instead, use a desk lamp or table lamp that has two options: on or off.

I ended up buying two because the first one I bought would not pair after many attempts. I had to drive the 6 miles one way, to return and get a replacement. My time is worth something. I told the Returns guy it would not pair, and not to put it back on the shelf. The replacement worked and paired to my wifi.

Like all the other one star reviews my bulb has been extremely inconsistent. So far I've had to turn the light off and on (via switch) everyday to get it to reconnect to the app and work. Defeats the purpose of having a smart light bulb.
