The Square D by Schneider Electric QO Qwik-Gard 15 Amp One-Pole GFCI Circuit Breaker is intended for protection of entire branch circuits where damp-location shock hazards may exist, providing overload and short-circuit protection of your electrical system. The ANSI-certified and UL-listed unit is rated for 120 VAC and 10,000 AIR. All QO circuit breakers are equipped with the exclusive Visi-Trip indicator. When a QO Visi-Trip circuit breaker trips, the handle snaps to a midpoint position between in. off in. and on in. and a highly visible, red indicator easily identifies the tripped breaker. This enables you to easily distinguish which breaker has tripped in a load center that may contain up to 42 different circuit breakers. QO circuit breakers have features no other manufacturer can offer. They come in many different sizes and can meet the needs of virtually every function in your home or business. These types of quality, industry exclusive products keep the Square D brand ahead of the competition and are builders' and electrical contractors' first choice in electrical protection.

Answer This Question
A:Â Hi,
Each manufacturer has it's own UL listings for their specific products based on their specific product line and their specific combination of products. This is true for Square D as well. The exception would be an OEM or in ETO products, our equipment may be used but the UL listing would be that of the OEM or manufacturer. However, Schneider Services can be hired to do a retrofit or retro fill but, UL listings may be voided and the Warranty as well unless otherwise specified.

Q:Is this a good fit for 2 Camco heater elements? And what size copper wire is good enough? Thank you

Answer This Question
A:Â Not enough specifics regarding the heater element and application to answer this question. However, wire should be 12/2 w/ground to match with this breaker.
by|Feb 17, 2023
A:Â Thomas,
The wire range is 14–8 Al/Cu or (2) 14–10 Cu, if the heater are rated for 20A and you are using a QO load center, the breaker can be used.

Square D QO series are the only breakers that are rated for DC usage, as stated on their web site. I used 4 to connect 16 100 watt solar panels to my charge controller. Another perfect combination of items purchased through Homedepot.com!

I used this for a new outlet I installed in my garage. The outlet was a spare left over from a previous project so it wasn't a GFCI outlet. The circuit breaker worked great once I found the right model that would fit in the breaker panel. Only complaint I have is the metal clips on the breaker that connect to the hot and neutral bus bars. I had to use a screw driver to open up the neutral clips to get them to fit in the panel. The clip for the hot wire kept popping out of the breaker and I had to pop it back into place multiple times to get the breaker to attach to the panel. Once this was done the breaker worked fine and tripped when I tested the outlet with an outlet tester.

Not suitable for new home construction. Must have AFCI Breakers.
Please note this review is based strictly on my individual experience with the breaker. Many will say the fault is mine, and that is ok. It is. However my hope with this review is to save others my distress by impressing upon Home Depot the fact that this breaker is NOT for new residential buildings and this fact should be noted for all 15 and 20 amp breakers that are not AFCI breakers now that the NEC by code has replaced almost all of these old standard $8-11 breakers with $36-50 AFCI breakers. The old breakers can still be used for New Business building construction but not new home except for extremely limited use.
Currently they are still allowed for old home repairs too.
Next years' NEC code updates, could phase them into all internal residential circuits. Currently AFCI breakers are not required for residential bathroom, fridge, water heater, dryer, or stove circuits (currently in 2019). A/C wiring is exempt as well.
Backround; I am building a retirement home and was attempting to do everything I could to minimize outside contractor costs. Having done wiring years ago, I knew I could do the house wiring with a little NEC reading (I did not do enough obviously, DOH!).
I ordered the old style breakers. Now I will return them and upgrade to AFCIs which impacts my house budget by $700-800. Returns happen all the time in construction but this might have been alleviated if Home Depot noted these breakers are not suitable for new home construction, except in limited use. I attached a picture so the physical differences can be noted. Luckily the 200 Amp Square D box I already wired into the house is AFCI ready. (TYG)
Cheers.

I consider myself a GROUNDED individual and can find no FAULT with this product. Really the only possible deal BREAKER would be the price. I QWIKly looked elsewhere but found no better price so I ended up buying it. I’d be more AMPed up about this purchase if the cost was a bit less. I’m sure if we took a POLE. Everyone would agree. Overall, I suppose it’s a SQUARE Deal.
Worked fine for the hot tub.

20 Amp Single Pole Type QE Ground Fault Equipment Protection Circuit Breaker
Siemens ground fault equipment protectionSiemens ground fault equipment protection circuit breakers provide protection to equipment from damaging line-to-ground fault currents. This circuit breaker will detect line-to-ground faults and de-energize the circuit for all ungrounded conductors of the circuit. If the current going to the equipment is greater than 30 mA than the current coming back the GFCI will open the circuit stopping the flow of electricity.View Full Product Description
