    A:  Hi Bigfar, Each model has a specific trim kit that is recommended for that model. Looking at these 2 models they do show to share the same trim kit. We hope this helps.

      Fire Hazard Once Hole Appears!!
      This microwave was part of my upgraded appliances when my home was built in 2012. The microwave began sparking randomly in 2018. The last straw was last night when my daughter put a bag of popcorn in so we could all watch a movie together. The microwave began sparking so bad!! I thought it was going to explode or catch fire. I had to run over to turn it off. With COVID going on now, finding a replacement before Thanksgiving is next to impossible. Whirlpool should replace and install my microwave free of charge!!!

        Same exact problem as everyone else!
        The contractors who sold us our home put this in new for us mid 2018 and we have only lightly used it. About 3 months ago a whole appeared in the side panel inside and the microwave started sparking inside and smelling of burning if we cooked for longer than 20 seconds. This is clearly a design or manufacturing fault. It is no longer under manufacturers warrantee (that lasts 1 year), but it doesn’t seem right that we have to fork out for a brand new microwave again. Love my whirlpool dishwasher, fridge, oven and washer dryer so I m disappointed in this.

          Only good for 30 seconds or less
          t’s start off with the good. It looks nice. It’s a good size. It’s quiet. That’s it. Now the important stuff. Although sleek looking, this microwave has given us nothing but a headache. We have become accustomed to resetting it because it trips at least once a week. We originally thought that it was because something may be touching the outlet cord. Nope! We removed everything around the cord and it still trips. It even trips when not in use. It’s come to the point now that we may have to move it to its own room. Not only does it trip, the insides of the microwave has melted. Melted! How does the inside of a microwave even melt when we only use it for at most 2 minutes? Perhaps the coating that whirlpool used was only the top choice of the poorest quality. We don’t even even use it for extreme heating! What a waste of money! Poor quality! This is the first time we’ve ever had issues with a microwave. The microwaves at our previous houses (houses that we’ve lived in for far longer) have never given us issues. It’s so disappointing that we may have to already replace it. This microwave is only a good purchase if you want it to look good in your kitchen and/or use it for 30 seconds or less. If you need to use the microwave for longer than 30 seconds, buy a different one. Our whirlpool microwave is now just “display only”. How sad.

            ZAP!
            Went to heat some water in the microwave and not even a minute later, a lot of zaps and sparks were happening inside. Pretty scary. We love how this microwave looks but in all my years have never had something like this happen!

              Disposable microwave
              Disappointed purchased all new appliances August 2014 Went to use microwave one day and it just stopped working. Lasted not even three years.

                    My copy of this appliance had a major steaming problem, and Customer Service was terrible
                    This Microwave had a major problem with steaming up, even with small cook loads like a few slices of microwave bacon. This soon led to obvious streaking and spotting on the inside of the (non-cleanable) viewing window. Whirlpool customer service was the worst part. They insisted that this steaming situation is "normal performance," though I've never seen another microwave steam like this. I requested a service call but Whirlpool refused.

                    Feeder wheel below the glass holder broke in half on 3rd use
                    Call the builder to ask for a replacement. Kinda upset after third use.

                      Great Little Microwave
                      I bought this about a month ago and it's been a great little microwave. It was replacing an original 17 year old Jenn-Air mounted in a small over-counter cabinet. Although a little smaller in height, the turntable is larger and it has more power. I've been very pleased.
