Not certain what you are referring to when you say channels but there are gable, corner and trim coil flashings to cover the panels if they need to trimmed or finished on the ends. We do not have any videos on your particular application.

Plus the shavings can cause rust spots if not removed. We recommend to cut with tin snips or aviation shears which you can find at your local Home Depot store. A:  Thank you for your question. One of the many benefits to metal roofing is it can be repainted. This can be done to extend the life of the panels or simply for a different look. As long as the old finish is well adhered to the metal, it will provide a great surface for a new coating. We suggest cleaning the painted roof by power washing or using a TSP solution. Then we suggest a primer followed by a top coat and recommend using a DTM (Direct to Metal) Paint.
