A:  Every Home Depot that I’ve been in is set up to cut lumber to size, they also have a panel cutter to cut plywood to size. It should be noted, however, that their equipment is heavily used and not overly accurate, and some employees are better skilled than others, so always have them cut slightly longer and do the fine cut yourself. They also are not using a fine finish work blade, so their cuts are not the cleanest, but they are straight.

A:  Reno, We've not heard of a Home Depot location that will refuse a customer's request to cut lumber, but it's always a good idea to call ahead to be sure someone will be there to help you. The first couple of cuts are free, but beyond that, a quarter per cut is the usual charge.
