Answer This Question

A:  Wire cutters! New ones! we had to cut one cell at a time but it was so worth it! Good luck! Sorry that this took me two days to answer I just received the email.

A:  A right angle grinder with a cut-off wheel is the easiest, large tin snips, or even small diagonal cutters. However the latter will be slow and tedious!

A:  Metal shears or a metal cutting wheel on a grinder can be used to cut this product.

      by|Jan 2, 2022

A:  You can use tin snips but they need be very sharp, even then it can be problematic. I prefer to use an angle grinder with a metal cutting wheel.

A:  Use a straight cut tin snip.  Worked fast an accurate cuts.

A:  High heat applied to any galvanized metal is dangerous... in welding school we were told over and over to never weld onto galvanized metals. No idk the temperature required to release these very dangerous coatings but i would not risk it.

A:  If you do it right yes you can, meaning try your best to install framing 2 x 4 studs for added support, use the right fasteners (nails that have big round plastic head attached to the nail) and think about using, at least for the first couple of layers mortar, and the liquid adhesive in your mix....Good Luck

Q:What is the actual weight of the sheet of lath? The product specifications say a sheet is 0.5lbs, however that figure is clearly incorrect. It could possibly be 5.0 lbs, but would like to know for sure. It would also be nice if you updated the product description to be accurate. Thank you.

                    Answer This Question

A:  This product is not flat. The metal naturally twists when it is pulled apart, which is a positive attribute when used to support plaster or other trowel-on materials. But this type of lath would not be good to use for something that needs to have a flat surface, without the metal edges turned slightly up or down.

A:  No, not flat. You could make a cheese grater out of this
