    A:  The extension fits the downspout. Most common sizes are 2x3 and 3x4 in which both are used on 5" gutter. This item will fit both sizes of pipe. Each end is a different size.

      Q:Why do I have to buy new ones every 2 years? They split easily after 1-2 seasons. Aren't these made for outside exposure?

      A:  While we put UV blockers in our Flex-A-Spout products we cannot provide a life expectancy due to the numerous environmental factors for every geographic location. I will send this to our engineering team for them to review.

            Q:Can I attach a downspout at each end? So 3x4 coming off the vertical downspout, and then a 2x3 horizontal downspout at the other end that functions as an extender?

            A:  This product is designed to attach to a downspout at one end and have the other end cut and connected to either a corrugated pipe or catch basin.
