Q:Is anyone else having problems when you filter the water and the filter stays on blue and doesn’t shut off??

A: Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. The pump in the system will shut down at 60 to 75 psi. This will more than likely happen when the filter in the system is clogged. Depending on your water quality,
the filter in your system might need to be changed more frequently.

A: That means the filtration is running. Wait until the light stops to remove the pitcher. When you get a red blinking light, it's time to replace your filter.

Q:Our machine (counter top /pitcher) leaks from under the base - I note at least 8 questions among your customer questions - however I don't find any response from Aquasana. What is the explanation? What is the repair?

A: I am not sure that the company has a fix for the problem other than a replacement. I had issues with the filters also. In the end I decided to not replace my unit.

A: Replace top lid gasket - - 2 1/2 inner diameter 2 11/16 outer diameter 3/32 cross section. Worked for me.

Q:I've had my clean water machine for ~3 months. I noticed it was running slower and never seemed to actually stop so I changed the filter, but that didn't seem to help. I have to unplug it or it will just run continuously. What gives?

A: Good luck getting help from the company. I sent an email many months ago about an issue I had with one of the filters. I won’t be ordering any more filters or using this machine again, until it can be clarified and answered.

A: First I appreciate my machine. My first / gallon machine was defective, wouldn't reset and continue with the new filter. Aquasana gratefully replaced it with a one gallon w/spigot machine which is very satisfactory. I refill my gallon and individual bottles with filtered water. No more running to the store for water. The shower filters are great an clean shower water prevents my skin from itching and drying out.

A: Good Morning,
Please keep in mind that leaving the pitcher on the base can stimulate the unit's lack of filtering process. The pitcher is designed to automatically filter the water in the pitcher as soon as it is properly placed on the docking base.
When leaving an empty pitcher on the base, the unit will attempt to "filter" the full/empty pitcher. This will damage the sensor on the unit and create an on/off pattern.
If you do not intend to filter water on the pitcher, please leave the pitcher empty. We do not recommend leaving the pitcher full of water if you do not wish to filter the drinking water.

Q:Pardon me if this has been asked before. When the light turns red, will it stay red until the filter is replaced? I'm asking because my light turned red for a day or so but now it is blue and I did NOT change the filter. Should I change filter or wait?

A: You must know approximately how long you have had the filter, correct? If it’s 3 months or more change it. However, once mine turned red it stayed that way. When I installed a new filter, I had to depress the tiny button under the twist-off cover to turn the light blue again ci used an unbent paper clip

Thank you for contacting us. We recommend switching out the filters every three months, if the system has reached the three months yes replace the filter. In order to have the red indicator light back to blue, please be sure to press the reset button with a paper clip, pencil, or similar item when you replace the smart filter.
