A:  Hi Bobby, thank you for your question. As smooth surfaces can make it tough for coatings to adhere, we recommend etching bare concrete to ensure the proper texture for adhesion. A:  Hi sterry, thank you for your question. Behr 1-Part Epoxy can be used on a sound concrete floor. Before application, scuff sand smooth glossy surface, etch bare concrete (the surface is supposed to feel like 150-grit sandpaper), clean and let dry. You can first use Behr Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer No. 880 for added adhesion. A:  Hi Diver, thanks for the question. If the 2-Part Epoxy is water-based, you can apply our Concrete & Garage 1-Part Epoxy over it. You would need to scuff-sand the coating if it is glossy. Also, I'd recommend priming the surface with our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer. I wouldn't recommend applying our epoxy over a polyester coating. Have a great day! -Ronald
