Q:How easy, or not, to punch out "optional" drainage holes? Do I need a drill? Can you provide a photo of the bottom of this planter showing the holes (or the scored places for the holes)? Some reviewers have complained these did not exist.

Answer This Question
A: Hello, thanks for your question. The Veranda Square Box Planter is geared towards displaying and supporting several potted plants within the same container. As such, the planter has a thicker base compared to most of our other planters we make, so we recommend using a drill to remove the hole located at the middle-bottom of the planter, if you decide to use it as a standalone planter pot. Hope this helps!

Answer This Question
A: Bloem square Veranda planter measures 18" width at the top opening and 12.75" width at the base. I recommend looking for a saucer that is about 2-4" larger width than the base of planter to allow for healthy drainage. Thank you!
