Q:can I use knockouts in the frame to secure Bosch 300 rather than tabs-there is not enough overhang on the cabinet to use the tabs

The accessory power cord with junction box kit, model# SMZPCJB1UC found here: rb.gy/5gp983, should be purchased if a permanent wire connection is needed.         Q:unless you're replacing a new dishwasher in a new construction, or installing one for the first time, there is NOT a receptacle in the wall. You have to use this j-box pigtail. why can't this be stocked? And more importantly, why is it not included?

        A:  Hi Jay, given a majority of homes have 110v receptacle for dishwasher to plug into, Bosch has elected to provide a 3 prong power cord. For customers who prefer to hardwire, the junction Box is an accessory item which can be purchased from Home Depot, or direct from BSH.

            Q:What should be the max temp of the terminal block in this box under load? Old box charred the leads and melted the hot lead. New one is running up to 101F under load. Normal? Screws are tight. (Electrician is coming out week.)

            A:  I had the same problem. I wound up mounting the junction box on the other side of the partition wall underneath the sink. The partition wall is just made of particle board so it was easy to drill a hole big enough to run the dishwasher cord through.
