A: Amber,
Thank you for your question. The cap-a-tread is made of MDF with an overlay of the same vinyl film used on the flooring. They may cleaned with a damp cloth. You may view the warranty at www.homedepot.com under product details. Enjoy your new flooring and cap-a-treads.

Q:Can these be placed over Tile stairs? Is there a specific glue for that?

Answer This Question
A: Eric,
Thank you for your interest in Zamma Cap-A-Treads. You may use these over tile however, the tile must be securely in place. You will need to use a urethane based adhesive that does not have a fast drying solvent, that will adhere to both wood and ceramic. Best of luck with your project.

A: Bradley,
Very good question. You will need to use the type 2 treads and build out the riser so that the cap-a-tread will install correctly. See the link below and view the installation video at the bottom of the page. Best of luck with your project.
