Q:Is the riser finished on at least 1 end?

Answer This Question

A:  Julie, Thank you for you interest in Zamma White Risers. They are not finished on either side. You will need to cut the riser to the correct length then miter the side and reverse the piece that is cut off to cover the exposed raw wood. See the video below.         A:  Any type of epoxy adhesive (i.e. Gorilla glue in a chalk tube, liquid nails).

          A:  Thank you for your interest in Zamma products. The adhesive should be urethane based, without a quick dry solvent. We cannot recommend a particular brand of adhesive. However; Titebond, Bostik, Loctite, Seka and some Liquid Nails produce an adhesive that will work.

            Q:It says that risers to be Used with Cap A Tread. Does that mean that I can not install those risers for an existing finished wood straircase? My staircase risers has to many coats of paint and I would like to refresh it by installing new raisers.

              Cheaply manufactured
              Experience with formica material is helpful in ripping and chopping this material. The edges do not cut 100% clean and corners are fragile, do not accidentally drop a plank at all. The cost of the product should be about 25-30% less because it is likely you will need to purchase a few extra.

                This was probably the most important part of the stair project. Our stairs being about 30 years old had painted white risers that scuffed easily and required continued maintenance. These risers should be very easy to maintain and we’re easy to install.

                  We were remodeling the whole upstairs, so we ordered new cap treads and were painting the risers after seeing and painting them we decided to get new risers. We ordered them and they actually arrived first. As you can see I was adding decals to the steps to spice up. They turned out so good. Thank you Home Depot, I now love my new steps.
