A: Working with metal tools and electricity without turning the power off is a bad idea. Only professional electricians would ever try this. That is why OSHA has lock-out/tag/out procedures, even then before you start work on electrical circuits of any kind you should double check to see if they are still live - they may be back fed from another circuit.

A: I paid $19.95 - you get 7 pieces and a carry pouch - not bad. I wouldn't use them working on a line crew.
