A: This gun is meant for driving screws through drywall, pine studs, and very thin metal studs, setting screws at a specific depth. It’s not designed for driving through heavy sheet metal.

A: This is a good versatile screw gun. Intended for screwing drywall to wood or metal studs, but can handle screwing many substrates. Be sure you are using the correct screw tip to match the screw you are using - #2, #3, etc.

A: This screw gun is designed to rapidly set s drywall screw that encounters little resistance. You would need a screw gun for decking operating at much lower rpm and quite a bit higher torque. Using a drywall gun for decking will result in torqued-off screw heads or cammed out screws and broken Phillips bits.

A: This tool is designed for drywall installation, if
that is what your going to use it for then normally you would need a #2 Phillips tip otherwise get a 1/4 " impact driver tool. You will be able to use it for all type of fasteners. You will need to purchase a small case of assorted tips for the impact driver.

A: I suggest you buy Dewalt DWA1PH2 available from Home Depot in quantities of 15 or 30. The size is a standard #2 Phillips bit, one inch long, with 1/4 inch hex drive. I have found that generic bits will work as well, but wear our faster because they are not the right hardness. It takes just 15 seconds to change out the bit.

Q:how do I order parts (black) sleeve that rotates the chuck
