A: Good morning, The Dewalt 5amp, 20-volt battery system is ideal for router edging etc. realize that any deep mortising for an extended period will deplete the charge quickly so having a backup battery or two will cut down on standby time. Don't let the charge level get too low, it will shorten the battery life. Hope this helps, G

A: Like all saws, you use a blade set up for the material you want to cut. DeWalt and others all make metal blades and blades for wood. I have cut through nails and screws while taking down a privacy fence.

Q:Does a 20v DCB207 battery work with this saw or do I have to buy the battery

Answer This Question
A: There is no saw model number to compare. We can advise some tools require more energy than others and a higher Ah/Amps is best for a longer run time.

A: Great sawzall or reciprocating. Twenty volt giving it plenty of power with quick spin release for installing & changing blades. Small enough to get into tight places but powerful enough for most reasonable jobs.

Q:Can 18 volt tools use 20 volt batteries?
by|Sep 25, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: We have a DCA1820 18V to 20V Adapter. Do not use with premium DEWALT batteries in DC970 or DC759 tools. This Adapter will not work with 20V/60V FLEXVOLT Batteries. Requires use of 20V MAX* DEWALT charger. Allows for use of 20V MAX* Liithium Ion batteries in most 18V DEWALT tools.
